Hi
 I use simple thing - use properties of "photo" window tab - switch view to miniatures - regulating photo tab size in width. When You have two columns of miniatures, then select entire column !! and disable it. This way You can disable every 2th foto.

i saw You using masks, save masks and then leave only one with best fit, check "use volumetric mask" in mesh menu.

You have a bunch of chunks, when You merge chunks, model will be"360 complete " - no place for this "edge finish"

I did a small test - photos with rolling shutter  (dji mini2 cam). divided into a group with compensation in the full option, and the other with off.
align with ADAPTIVE option (medium)

You can calibrate each camera using camera-> calibrate camera - chessboard procedure
Then in calibrate camera panel you can then choose witch parameters are FIXED / image variant

hi
for me everything is ok > filtering = disabled  - this is not for mesh itself, it is about filtering depth maps.
for comparison turn on aggressive mode and disable "reuse depth maps" then compare mashes.

I had the same problem - did not find solution - first set of cameras and point cloud disappears.

Yes, this happens when you open a previously saved project.
Working on one project from the beginning  - everything is ok
