Bug Reports / Processing time in PS
« on: June 23, 2015, 11:10:46 AM »
Hi,

I've recently found that - may it's bug or not, judge yourself - processing time given in "Show info" in Chunk is a value of the time from start to the end of the duration of the process but it's not "processing time" or "time of calculations" - because if you pause process for about 5 min ...then these 5min will be added to your processing time...

...just wanted to share this information with those who attach importance to this, and didn't know ;)

Bug Reports / Detect Markers - disable parity
« on: February 02, 2015, 07:19:56 PM »
Hello Kjellis85,

Do you mean coded targets that were printed from older versions? If you do not wish to re-print new targets from latest 1.1.0 version, then you should check on "Disable parity" option in the Detect Markers dialog.

Hi Alexey,

Please check if this option works, because i've noticed that in my case it doesn't work at all - I have set of photos with "old version" markers and I could not detect markers with this option checked on

Mac

Hi,

thanks for sharing those informations ;)

Projector has no problems with overheating, working in a vertical position for a long time (few hours) ?

Hi Alexey,

The point is that i'm not able to align those images correctly (at least part of them) ;) so if the markers projections are used during Align Photos i thought that it may help to put them manually on the photos to improve accuracy of aligning  ...then is this "never ending - over 100% progress" during "Estimating camera locations..."

I will send you those set of photos with markers file for your internal tests

Mac

Sorry - my mistake - it is build 1998 - log file in attachment (cancelled at 131%)

I'll try with previous build (1995) if it is the same

Bug Reports / Photoscan 1.1.0 build 1995 - Align photos
« on: December 19, 2014, 04:13:18 PM »
Hi,

I've noticed some strange behaviour during the photos aligning - here's my procedure:

1. Import photos
2. Detect markers
3. Add some additional markers manually or place detected markers on other photos
4. Align photos

during the aligning - I have some problem with "Estimating camera locations..." (in attachment) - as you see, the percentage progress is over 100% and permanently increasing ...and never ends - need to abort

when i don't add additonal markers or don't place detected ones on other photos - it is ok - estimating camera locations process is ending on 100% and the cameras are aligned

regards,
Mac

« on: November 03, 2014, 09:03:35 PM »
Hi,

I've noticed problem with detecting markers in this release (1985) - I cannot force PS to do this (0 markers detected - no matter what value of tolerance is set) - in PS build 1982 it was working without any problems

Mac

Hi Alexey,

I've checked this on build 1982 - Import Cameras + Build Points works correctly - unfortunately the problem with rotation (after optimize) is still - take a look at short video (cameras exported from build 1982)

Hi Alexey,

big thanks for that - i will check

Hello Alexey,

thanks for the update - "Can't build point cloud" problem from imported cameras - now it is fixed

...although it is still problem with changing coordinate system rotation after optimization (see my previous post) but now it rotate approximately 90° around the Z axis and 45° around Y axis
