General / Re: Refine Markers track markers
« on: April 11, 2014, 12:26:42 PM »
hi,
thanks for that could you specify the needs for the refine function a bit more how do the markers need to look like and how big in pixel do they need to be.
and of course at which state do I have to use the function if I have to place them by hand on every picture and then use refine or first load them into the model so they show up grey and go from there my testing in this aspect was not conclusive
but sound like a tool I could use just going trough a set of 770 images with usualy at least one marker visible on one of them I a bit a boring task :-)

ok but does it correct each image indevidualy or just according to average?
the question is I have one area and two flights one is way underexposed and the images are quite dark but geometry works nice so what are the best conitions to use color correction and which texturing mode in this case average or mosaic?
thanks

1mil sound like a serious task to try.. :-)
however adding to the previos poster I would also say depends on the structure of the wall and the texture if it is an all white or uniform collor with hardly any texture then It will not realy work at all

General / Re: Exporting orthophotos in Pseudo Mercator?!
« on: April 10, 2014, 08:23:17 AM »
hi
if its just the orthophoto you can create it in something similar and then just transform it in GIS
haven't tried it yet but should be possible in open source qgis programme

hi
yes las data would be usefull
and is there any reason why there is no suport for geotiff files
i would use some to place my models on which are better then the landsat and bing stuff and blend better withe the modell

General / Re: GCP Points - Something stupid?
« on: February 18, 2014, 08:25:40 PM »
hello
if you are fine with general GPS accuracy then why bother with this procedure. for some projects where the +- of a few meters do not matter then you can just use the cammera GPS coordinates of the pictures by using the import exif data. then you can work without any Ground control points i do thet in order to have my model coursly alligned to my markers so i can find them quick but it also gives good results without ground control points
so at least you can save the walking around :-) also since the time between the gps mesurements is just very short (seconds) at least the acuuracy whithin the model should be ok at least as far as exif alows you since the coordinate precission is limited.

hi
just came along this nice new feature and a test with default setings gave impresive results however i would be thankfull for some more insight into the actual setings and what they do.
the helpfile does not help since it seems to be from the old version.
best regards

« on: August 14, 2013, 07:07:10 PM »
hi,
if i understand your question correctly then the answere is a clear maybe.
it can be done depending on the kind of vegetation and building infrasrtucture. you will have to create and export an dense point cloud as lidar data and then edit it for example with lidartools or even open source gis software (Grass)

there is no need to transform anything here.. z is z and it is always up :-D

hello
i would sugest to use a program wich allows you to open any kind of textfile (with coordinates) and which can then be saved as a dxf file withe point nr. displayed.
zeiss edplus and topconlink come to my mind here.
this way you have full control over all parameters just project your ps file to the format you whant i would sugest a rectangular metric format of course (like UTM)
if you need any more details let me know

Thanks,
as for the lighting do you have any special idea i was thinking about syncronised flashes on tripods or led lanterns (not so bright but less agressive)
https://www.globetrotter.de/shop/lampen/laternen-fackeln/black-diamond-apollo-135073/
or even gas lanterns
point is i do not have electricity in the midle of the desert.
as for the grid i dont realy understand that part would you physicaly lay out a grid with tapes or string or just a theoretical survey grid.
my plan was to use the total station to make a sketch of the quarry and then mark the walls i have completet. as well as mark gcp points with chalk (worked quite well this year) and survey these
overlap about 60% should do i guess?!
would it be usefull to do walls top and ground in diferent chunks?
thanks a lot
frank
