wel you can always exort the camera position and orientation into a textfile  find the estimated there and import it back into the project and then run the allignment using reference

the shiny surface of the toy is not a good start also the black areas in the textured models say that the coverage was not good as you can see you have no photographs from below. the background and setting is alos not ideal lots of bright white in there and not much for matching points.

use the append fuction under file
this wil import the old model
now if they are in the same reference system they should show up fine otherwise you wil have to allign the two datasets

General / force DEM on ground control

hi
i have a project where the reference pane gives nice values for my ground control points usualy errors around 10cm (flight heigt was 500m) i have optimized the allignment but still the DEM created gives me on many ground control points elevation deviations of up to a meter. i understand that photogrammetry is limited in accuracy and that i can only get so much accuracy out of it but i am confused by the error values (and teh estimates) since they look ok and as expected but the final result Mesh and DEM is different from that estimated values in the control.
is there a wasy to force the model onto the gcp

edit i was cheking it a bit more closely and it seems the errors are in the range they where before optimisation so it looks like the allignment was not realy changed with the optimization even if the values in the reference pane got better

i was just about to ask the same question abouth the path seems like a very compex process and in most cases very uneccery complicated to. a path creating option like in sputnic or google earth based on curent static views would be grat for most aplications or at least teh possibility to view the object from some angle while it is rotation away.
my landscape models are just very flat from the side also the model is rotating to fast by default any way to change that

i ahd similar problems a while ago these are alignment problems i have when combining diferent flights and also it hapens towards the edges of a model when the overlap is not great
i could not find a way to fix it without redoing some of the fotos...

have you found an error i would be intgerestet whats the cause and if there is a intermediate work around
i found that in general it apears in lower resolution settings so if i just have a sparse or very low resolution dense cloud
it alos is more pronounced if i decrease the resoulution f the ortho if i hafe a model wich alows for a gsd of 1cm and i create the orthomosaic for a quick test in lets say 50m gsd it is much worse that the final product using 1cm

Bug Reports / collor problems with orthomosaics

hello
i thought, after i found several topics and postet my own experiences in the general section, it is now time to cal this a bug.
the orthomosaic function in the new version is just not working as it is suposed to do at all.
mosaic settings are hardly usable at all. i get this strange overly bright areas. usualy it is allways there when just using a sparse point cloud for the modeling
but sometimes (50%) it is also still there with a dense cloud. ususaly it is ok in average mode but that comes with its own problems...
in all this instances it is old models which i just want to export the results after i spend weeks on processing. i should not have switched to the new version before fisishing.
it is very irritating please do something about it since iam not the only user reporting this issues it is not me but the software i suppose.
the new version has some very nice features and i like the way things are developing but with the DEM creating and orthomosaic colloring problems it is hardly usable for me right now

iam not abele to deactivate interpolation thats the bug i think
enabled is the only option in the menue

it seems it is not always working even with the dense cloud it is very anyoing and makes the new version fairly useless!!!
i have this problem again and again sometimes i can use the average fuction
but smetimes i can not use it since i combine different chunks cut to fit.

i had the same problem few days back and it is indeed anyoing agisoft changed that to the worse.....
solution for now was to create a dense point cloud and work not creating a model out of the sparse cloud.
