Hi bisenberger,

try this modified script. The original was testing on presence of chunk.point_cloud instead of chunk.tie_points

Should run now...

Thanks Paulo, but it removed most of the tie points within the shape. Ended up just adjusting the bounding box using the shape as a reference.

Thanks Corensia, but I can't get it to work. The script shows up in the Custom menu pull down. I have a shape selected, set to outer boundary, when I run the script it says "No tie points, script aborted".

I received this error message when I ran the script:

142, in _import
2023-02-20 12:14:02     return original_import(name, *args, **kwargs)
2023-02-20 12:14:02 ModuleNotFoundError: No module named 'fiona'
2023-02-20 12:14:02 Error: No module named 'fiona'


This thread has a script to crop the tie point cloud based on the single selected polygonal shape.

It would be handy to be able to filter tie points by variance to easily select and delete the tie points with the largest errors.

Projection file ".prj" exported with Global Mapper shapefile doesn't work with Metashape Professional.

I have attached a zip file with an exported shape file from Global Mapper and a shape file exported from Metashape Professional, so the ".prj" files can be compared.

It would be useful to be able to Build DEM and Build Mesh using dense cloud as the source with an option to choose a point confidence range, similar to the Point class filter incorporated into these routines.

I just zipped up the whole project and emailed a link since it was so small. Let me know if you have problems downloading.

I ran Batch Process - Build Mesh on 2 chunks. On one of the chunks it created mesh outside the bounding box.
