Bug Reports / Batch Process: Load Project jobs do not load from xml
« on: June 03, 2019, 04:41:15 PM »
When saving batch processing jobs to *.xml, I see that code clearly states Load Project jobs, but they do not load when you try to load batch processing jobs from xml.

Saved xml is attached, when you try to load this xml it will only load Export ExportModel job.

Thank you Alexey!

Batch exporting multiple chunks, 7 million polygons each, using Batch Processing "Export Model" results in 900Mb files

If you export chuncks individually through the menu option Export Model files will be 534 Mb.

Used default settings for both options.

General / Export to OBJ multiple PSX projects with chunks in it
« on: May 21, 2019, 12:47:31 PM »
Hello,

Can someone please advice on how to export to OBJ multiple PSX projects with chunks in it

I have 100's of PSX projects with multiple chunks in them with unique names
I need to export models from those projects using {chunklabel} to take a name of a chunk, exported files should be be placed next to the PSX project location.

Is this something that can be done with a script?

A while ago I suggested to support this in batch processing https://www.agisoft.com/forum/index.php?topic=6506.msg31452#msg31452. As it a standard issue to perform the same batch jobs on multiple projects. From processing to exporting.

Thank you!

Bug Reports / Markers placement issue with Tablet
« on: February 06, 2018, 11:39:13 AM »
Hey,

Build 5650. When opening a photo its possible to pan the photo using both left and right mouse buttons. Previously it was only possible to pan using left mouse button and right click was only for showing drop down menu. Its not such a big issue when using mouse, but when using Wacom tablet (which is much more sensitive) its almost impossible to open that drop down menu with right click button.

Pen is much more sensitive to movement so when we try to place markers, it usually just pans the photo, its possible to bring the drop down menu sometimes, but its very hard.

Please remove the ability to pan the photo with right click button. Left click for panning right click for the menu

Thank you

Hi,

We have huge projects (*.psx) with 7 mil models and 8k texture in multiple chunks. Each time we need to open one it takes around 20 second to load as it opens and shows mesh + texture on screen and we don't always need that. Can you please make an option somewhere in Preferences so we can select default view (Point Cloud, Dense Cloud, ...)
This way we can open project instantly, hope that makes sense.

Thank you!

Thank you Alexey, hope you can reproduce and fix it.
Let me know if you need more information, maybe it will help if I record the marker placement so its clear what I do and what happens?

Refine Marker Projections by the Image Content  feature was not turned on, I just tried it and it doesn't work, results were different, but around 20% are flying around and not on the surface and some even failed to be placed on the model.

We place markers from photos, double click on the photo, right click on the area where we have little dots painted on the skin, and Place Marker from the menu. So we place Marker 1 on all 20 chunks, then marker 2 and 3, then we align chunks using those makers. Although in some cases we need to compensate as some of them should be moved due to skin movement.
For now we reverted back to version 1.2.5 as it works there perfectly, waiting for the fix though, as we are very limited at the moment

Here you can watch the same markers but placed in version 1.2.5 on the same model. See how they are all on the surface of the scan, where as in the most recent version they just fly around the area, some inside the mesh and some hovering over the model

We started to have lots of problems with scan calibration since 1.2xxx version And it looks like markers are not placed as they should.

Previously when we placed them from photos, they were placed on that very same spot on the models surface. But now, they can be inside the model or over the surface, positions are random. Please check video below. Those markers should all be on the surface.

P.S.
We can not place markers prior to Align Photo's stage, as its impossible to predict the right spot for the markers to archive the best calibration.

Bug Reports / No License Found on every Photoscan launch
« on: March 18, 2017, 01:37:51 PM »
Hi,

This is a new one, never happened before. Running latest 1.3.0 Photoscan Build 3772. On start is gives No License Found error, see image attached. Then I reenter serial number and it says it was successful. When I close Photoscan and start again, same issue repeats. Also each instance oh Photoscan requires to reenter serial number.

Also after activating Photoscan, I can no longer Deactivate my license. Its says that No Correct License Found.

Started to have this after installing more HDD's into the system, otherwise all the same, please help

P.S.
We appreciate processing speed improvement, seeing almost 60% speed gain. Which is insanity, well done!

Feature Requests / Hotkeys
« on: February 10, 2017, 02:02:10 PM »
Will be great if we can have Hotkeys Editor for all the functions in Photoscan

Additionally it will be great to select the next and previous chunk using hotkeys.

Feature Requests / Batch processing multiple projects

 Batch processing multiple projects

We work with multiple *.psx projects with a lot of chunks in each. Idea is to process different  jobs on multiple projects in a row on the same PC. Currently I can either run multiple instances of Photoscan on one PC (which isn't ideal) or use multple PC's.  Usually we set one PC running over night say Aligning and building Dense Clouds and Mesh and it can finish around 4am and just sit there not working. It will be great if Photoscan can switch and process different project after that.

For this I think its important that Photoscan should save Batch Process tasks in the project.  So when saved and opened,
job list is there.

So the process goes like this:
1. We set all the jobs needed for Project1.psx, Project2.psx and Project3.psx
2. We open Photoscan ago to Batch Process and Add new job type Run Project and Path...
3. Photoscan processes Project1.psx when done saves and opens Project2.psx etc..

Bug Reports / Disable Rest View when chunk order is being changed
« on: February 10, 2017, 01:30:14 PM »
When working with multiple chunks I can accidentally move them when trying to select (using Wacom pen which is very sensitive) and my viewport resets, so I have to always turn and zoom in to the part that I work on. Please disable reset view for when chunk order is changed.

Also it resets the view after Align Chunks is done,  will be good to disable that as well, or maybe have a checkbox there to do so.
