General / Help Creating a custom .prj file

Hello everyone,

I come to you today for help with this custom projection I am trying to work out.

I am not the sharpest with these things and I could really use some help.

So far whenever I try altering the NAD83 UTM 10 prj file, I get an error in photoscan that the transformation is not supported.

My clients supply me with GCPs in their custom grid format as per the attached PDF.  I would like to be able to use these coordinates straight inside photoscan and directly output my data in custom projection that my clients want.

I also use Global Mapper, if anyone knows a good workflow for performing these conversions.

Generating dense cloud has now been stuck at 10% for 5 hours. 

Photoscan version 1.1.4
128gb ram  (50gb being used by this photoscan session)
dual xeon 2690
1927 photos in chunk
Dense build Quality set to High


Will this session pull through, or am I hooped? I'm running tight on time for delivery or I would normally just troubleshoot it myself through different settings

Thanks Alex,

I am in the middle of processing 1927 photos into a dense cloud.  The images were captured using the inspire 1 UAV platform. 

The inspire does not provide the elevation as meters asl but rather by meters ato in the metadata of the photos.  This leaves a huge gap between where the photos think they are in space vs. where the GCPs say they have to be. 

I pined all the GCPs and then received that message as I was optimizing the scene.  The data set is quite large so the dense cloud is still in the reconstructing depth phase.  so far on hour 15.

Will the descrepencies between the elevations in the geotags and the GCPs give me any problems?  I unchecked all the cameras before optimizing.

First time I ever recieved this message while trying to optimize to high accuracy gcps.  Is this something new in this release?

Inspire is working well for my projects so far.  Initially there were issues with the geo-tags clumping up and giving multiple photos the same information.  That has been fixed for awhile now.  I just finished a short video showing off a stockpile that was captured during a single flight for volume estimation.  2 scale bars were used with an extra laid down to test accuracy.  Scale bars were 15m long and test bar was a small piece of lumber I had lying around.  The estimated length of the lumber was 5mm off of the actual length.

Agisoft Viewer / Agisoft Viewer Camera Track?

I see the option to include a camera track in the viewer. is there a how to or any info about this feature?
It would be great to record some kind of flythroughs for larger models.

Hello SuperNewb,

Only markers with any source coordinate values can be checked/unchecked. As soon as any data is input for the marker it will be checked on automatically.

Another question though.  I use Tile export in obj format for use in Geoverse.  It works great for the converter package.  The Pre Release does not seem to offer the same export method, leaving only the option to export photoscan tiles for the viewer package. 

Is there any hope that the final release will hold on to the functionality to export the obj tiles that I need?

Hi guys,

Maybe I'm missing something.  It seems that the markers are unable to be toggled on and off in this version.

Am I doing something wrong or is this purposefully shut down?

Bug Reports / Photoscan 1.1 Release 1982 Activation Issue

Hi guys,

when trying to activate build 1982, it asks for a valid license.  However, once I input my license, the "ok" button is still greyed out and will not let me activate. 

Is this happening to anyone else?
