Hi George,

The DEM will be affected by your processing settings inparticular depth filter.

Hi,

Well done with this release there are some welcome updates!

I've tried the seamlines editor and it worked great.

I'm very interested and looking forward to the updated manuals so we can understand the changes and how they work.

I've run a couple of test projects and noticed differences with the number of matched point and camera calibrations.  Has there been a change in the processing methods?

RTK gps would be the quickest and easiest method but there plenty of other ways to accurately survey the GCP's.  You could find a RTK gps for hire or loan.

The other alternative is using a total station preferably with an EDM to coordinate the gcp's.  You could hire these from a dealer also.

Correct, accurate elevation on ground control is critical for your application.

I'm not sure what impact not having control in the middle would be but I would definitely place a mark there and coordinate if possible.

Any areas without control is where the camera and model errors will hide.

The first time you do it I suggest you place lots of control and then you will have independent checks points not used in the processing to check the accuracy of your results.

Yes, you should place ground control before flying each time and coordinate the marks accurately using any survey method.  Then process by following the General ground control point tutorial  for help.

High quality doesn't necessarily mean high accuracy.  You might get a good looking model with lots of detail but without accurate control points you can't reproduce the results reliably.  The problems include not having a benchmark to reference change and you can get issues with vertical tilt and warping across the site.

You really need the ground control unless you use very accurate camera positions (via survey grade RTK GNSS) and optimisation procedures within agisoft.

I'm not sure what your interpretation of small scale change is? But your gps might be a accurate to 2 to 5m.

I suggest you try flying a site that doesn't change on different days and compare your models.

Hi,,

The project is a city model created using aerial photographs.

General / Tile export and LOD control

I'de like to setup a number of levels of detail for a large project and convert to tile tree structure.

How can I find out more information about tile export and converting to LOD pyramid using agisoft viewer?

I've done it by tiled model export and then convert in agisoft viewer but the number of triangles in the TLS file was less than the agisoft project.

Can you vary the LOD when exporting from agisoft? or do you need to export a number of times after reprocessing the project with different levels of detail?

General / Easy way to export model in tiles?
« on: December 10, 2014, 10:33:26 AM »
I want to export a large project model in tiles to keep the size down.

Is it possible to tile the export of models?

I can easily tile orthophoto's and points but don't know how to tile a model export.

General / OpenSceneGraph Binary OSGB format
« on: December 10, 2014, 02:30:09 AM »
Hi,

I've been asked to supply a model in OpenSceneGraph Binary (OSBG) format.

Has anyone used this format or know how to convert an Agisoft output to this format?

thanks

General / Pro licence
« on: October 20, 2014, 11:47:07 AM »
hi,

Is there a limit to how many times you can deactivate and re activate a licence?

Sometimes I want to transfer licence to a field laptop for initial processing.

Feature Requests / Re: Batch Orthophoto Export

ECW export would be VERY handy.

With the large size of the orthophoto's beng produced ECW is excellent for compression and viewing and would save the users from needing to export JPG or GeoTiff to other software for conversion to ECW.

General / Omega phi kappa import
« on: October 17, 2014, 02:50:52 PM »
I've got a large dataset to process and have been given the accurate camera locations including omega phi kappa.  Can the omega phi kappa be imported into Agisoft?

I think they might be different to pitch yaw roll?

General / Dense sampling numbers

Just wondering if someone could explain what is actually being calculated when you see 2 billion samples per second during dense point cloud?

Is it how many 3d points are being created and matched?

Same problem for me with 340.52 driver so I dropped back to earlier version.
