1- smoking kills. :)
2- perhaps, you may add more cameras ?
I don't think editing should take more than 20min for 3d print.. Am I wrong? it seems something is wrong. Cos with Zbrush you are giving so much detail. Okay it will look good on your pc. However the printer can't print this details especially for small models.

Hi,

Andreas,
Yes you are totally right with the shutter lag. I did an experiment and shutter lag is between 50-100ms depending the camera vendor. Canons usually have around 50-60 , Nikons 70-80 and some models have higher shutter lag. It sometimes changes even in the same model camera. 5-8 ms but it doesn't make a big impact.
Also I think, 1100D setup would be enough in your case. Have you ever tried to position 1100D for head and body capture instead of legs? You said "depending on the quality you are expecting" do you believe the quality won't be good for print like you do?  Have you also tried decreasing 600Ds' quality to 12mp and see the result ? Can you give a go like this and let me know please :)

yes, exactly improving...

Did you do Photoshop - Enhancing Photos with High Pass Filter ?  if not, you may give a go.

What smoothing have you applied on Meshlab from filters section? Why not Zbrush smoothing?

Thx

If I were you, I wouldn't go for the config that you wrote
As overclock was mentioned,  1600mhz RAD is insufficient,  get higher frequency RAM.

    Check this out,
    • INTEL i7 4930K 3.4 GHz Socket 2011 12MB 6 core
    • ASUS RAMPAGE IV EXTREME, X79, DDR3, 5x PCIExp, Socket 2011, CrossFireX & SLI    (it has 8 DIMMS instead of 4 ordinary DIMMS)
    • KINGSTON 16 GB DDR3 2133 MHZ CL11 XMP PREDATOR (KHX21C11T2K2/16X)
    • SAPPHIRE or another vendor HD7970 3 GB, PCIExp DDR5, 384 bit, 950/5700 Mhz

of course, it maybe more than your budget,  but at least go for HD7970, i believe 7970 is good for PS also it must be slighty cheaper than gtx770 also with similar performance..

By the way, be careful about power supply,  choose 80 Plus gold or higher certificated one.. ;)

Camera Calibration / Re: What does it mean?
« on: December 13, 2013, 04:58:43 PM »
спасибо Alexey,
By the way, is it possible to make the program to show if it is okay or otherwise.
Can it show the result in different colors.  Like; Green okay ,  orange it seem to be adequate, Red   calibration issue, action needed... etc... I think it would be esier to understand.  What do you think?

Hi,

Sorry just trying to understand, what is the lens calibration for?
I took 3 photos and made the test.  What the result says?
It doesn't explain clearly in the User Manual  if  it is good, bad ?

There is my result,  what can you see?
