« on: January 30, 2016, 01:32:45 PM »
Hey guys,

Is there someone building photogrammetry based 3D scanners for scanning only the faces? I did a quick google and didn't find much. Anyone?

Face and Body Scanning / Looking for scanned models
« on: November 20, 2015, 09:45:47 AM »
Hey guys!

I am looking for 3D scanned models of different characters/people with uniforms. I really don't know how to explain it better...   ;D

Examples would be:
Fireman, pilot, captain, astronaut, soldier etc.

If you have something, please contact me via PM or email timmu.toke@wolfprint3d.com.

Thanks!

We have experience with ordering the figurines from Shapeways and i.materialise.

The quality is usually very bad, sometimes unbearable, the skin colour is usually grey or green, sometimes some other colours as well. If you are aiming for high end, there is no way you could use a 3D printing service for the masses. You have to use some walls between the figurines to make the colour better, treat them with love later etc. Maybe you can find a good small service provider in your region, but the prices are usually x3-4.

Nope, I wouldn't buy it.

BTW how do you imagine to get Twinkind 100+ DSLR (with flashes) quality with 60x point and shoot or 100 raspberry pie cameras?

Face and Body Scanning / Full body scanner for sale

Hey guys,

I'm sorry if it sounds like I am trying to use Agisoft forum as a marketplace to make money selling scanners in, but this isn't the case.

We built a full body scanner about 3 months ago, but as our business as changed, we don't really need the scanner anymore. We would like to sell our scanner and get our money back, making a profit isn't a goal right now.

The scanner consists of around 40 Canon 1200D and 10 Canon 1100D cameras. The "package" would include all the electric systems, USB systems, lightning etc. We can also come to your place and build it up for you + offer free consultation to get you started. We also have some experience with starting a "3D minime" business if that's something you want to do.

The equipment is basically new and ready to be used. You can get all the bills that came with the equipment etc.

The price of the scanner depends on your location and some other things.

Here you can find a picture of the scanner:

You can write me if you're interested. My e-mail is timmu@wolfprint3d.ee

Thanks!

Hey,

Do you have any sample models from your scanner?

Hi,

Check out www.pi3dscan.com

We offer a self build multi camera system or we can build a system for you. Self build cost is around 10K, build by us is about 16-20K

Face and Body Scanning / Ready made solutions for full body 3D

Hey,

I visited Euromold in Frankfurt today and I saw two full body scanners, one has 64 for cameras and other was the artec full body scanner. Are there any other full body photogrammetry 3D scanners out there? I know that Twinkind from Berlin also announced that they will be selling a mobile full body 3D scanner soon...

Thanks!

Good luck. The results will be horrible, but keep us updated.

We are finally getting decent and continuous results with our 49 camera rig. :)

The problem is USB - we constantly get about 45-47 pictures of 49, some of them get lost on the way to the computer. We use both USB 2.0 and 3.0 hubs, but bigger distances (3m) are covered with USB 3.0.
Barkerjs - we use Canon 1200D and 1100D.

About the 4500 - this is not the only sample we have ordered, so I can assure You that the quality is similar on all of them. The colours tend to "bleed" more than on sandstone for sure.

The sample is ordered from 3D Systems, so I don't think it can be a calibration problem.

Hi ttoke,

Many thanks. Just to make sure which one is 660? 4500? ::) the darker one is 660 I guess

What is the size of this model? Thanks.

Darker and sharper.  ;)

15cm

Actually the 4500 model looks better on the pictures, the difference is even bigger in real life.

EDIT: Wow, the pictures are sooo big!

I ordered two samples from 3D Systems, one of them was 4500 and other was the 660 sandstone. You can't compare the quality between the two... The colour is noticeably better on the 660.
