Hi Matt,
you can define a smaller bounding box on a area of interest, so you can try different settings in a short time (less area to process).
So the tree height is the objetive... you can try medium quality with no or mild filtering?

Hi Matt,
Ultra and high tend to create gaps (more on ultra than high).
For aereal photography, medium quality is recomended and is more than sufficient.

Hello Alexey,
I tried this workflow hoping that roofs will be computed with higher accuracy.
So I marked a roof with the polygon and assigned an image to it where the whole roof is visible.
But the jagged roof edge is still there.
I have attached a screenshot.

Regards,
Mathias

yes, is pointless choose photos if all of them are jagged due to orthorectification, we need choose photos WITHOUT orthorectification.

hi alexey, sorry, "projection" isn`t the word. I refer to use photos without orthorectification (original photos) over the mesh to avoid malformations... but this on the orthomosaic editing feature (assign images) like pix4d.

Hi alexey,
about the seamlines photos,  they are only in orthogonal projection, so, if you got a bad building geometry, all photos are with artifacts due to projection. Can add a option to choose a planar projection?

Thanks

hi saffer,
by the Budget, is the best.
a question: how many photos you want process? Photoscan is very hungry of ram haha

hi dellagiu,
you can import the coordinate system as .PRJ file.
The same page provide the coordinate system as .prj

hi super_saffer,

gpu backplate: not necesary
liquid cooling: not necesary
CPU: search a high cpu clock and more cores, like a i7 4930k
RAM: ddr3 is cheaper (64gb ddr3=$500 vs 64gb ddr4=$700) , so use a ddr3 platform and you can spend more in the cpu

Sample source images and screengrabs of problems would help identify where your problems are.

Is not a source problem, the lack of a mosaic editor where you can define seamlines is the problem.

thanks alexey!
i hope will be soon, many clients complain about the artefacts around the buildings on the orthophoto (due to the orthorectification), so i'm forced to use pix4d only for the seamline capabilities (specially the planar proyection option for a seamline).

Hi Deronm,

1) Your flight plan don't look very well, do it like a grid with a high overlap (80%-60%)
2) The uav-terrain distance obviusly  is not equal to uav-tower, so take extra photos with a higher elevation of the tower
3) take a look on this site, specially on the "Large Vertical Objects reconstruction": https://support.pix4d.com/hc/en-us/articles/202557459
4) sorry for my english :p
