General / Orthomosaic deformation of images
« on: February 22, 2018, 05:27:51 PM »
Dear Team,

when I want to generate an orthomosiac sometimes I'm using the Mesh generated from the Dense Cloud but sometimes I'm also using just a flat plane (a big plane importet from a different software with only 2 big faces). This helps me to project the images on to a flat plane.

Now my problem is that the images projected onto a flat plane are somehow bended.
See image below:

Why do they bend? Can I somehow prevent that effect? I only want to have the effect of radial distortion in it. it seems that there are more effects.

EDIT: It doesn't matter which image I choose using "replace image" via the selection. They are all bended

General / Update Orthomosaic wrong?
« on: February 02, 2018, 10:25:38 AM »
Hey Alexey,

i have a problem with updating orthomosaic.
In picutre 1 (see attachement) I have a wrong image. I switched it using "assign images" (image 2 in attachement) and then I updated the mosaic. After that It looks exaclty like picture number 1.
Why doesn't it keep the image I assigned?

EDIT: hole filling is disabled and no backface culling
I even masked the background (sky)

General / Orthophoto with direction of marker on DEM
« on: February 01, 2018, 07:34:37 PM »
Hey guys,

I just created a DEM using 3 markers. Now I would like to project the images onto the DEM using the same markers. I dont want to use the Mesh because its a facade and the DEM will give me better results than the free mesh.
The problem is that I can't choose DEM when I open the Orthophoto promt and select the projection plane to markers.
Why is that and are we able to use it in the future?

General / Mirrored Orthophoto of ceiling
« on: December 11, 2017, 04:03:43 PM »
Dear Team,

I have a specific problem I would like to solve.
I took pictures of a ceiling and we used a laserscanner to scan the whole roof.
After meshing the scan we were able to project the images onto the laserscaned mesh.

We used GCPs and now comes the tricky part. Is it somehow possible to project the images onto the mesh so that when you look from the top onto the roof, you will get to see a mirrored version of the roof?

We would like to combine the orthophoto with some aditional measurements but the customer wants the orthophoto from above but mirrored.

Any ideas?

Bug Reports / "Invalid data type" when exporting points - 1.4.0 5310 64bit
« on: November 27, 2017, 05:49:45 PM »
Hello,

i can't export the points from my chunk.
I duplicated my chunk to calculate a different part more precicely and now I'm not able to export the points from thank chunk. all other chunks are fine but this one chunk which has only a high calculation instead of the middle wont export.
I tried any format. Always: Invalid data type

General / Can't transform coordinates - Orthophoto export
« on: November 01, 2017, 02:00:25 PM »
After generating 4 Orthophotos using "current view" I tried to generate the 5th Orthophoto from a different view.
Now Photoscan says "Can't transform coordinates" when I try to export the Photo!!!
I didn't do anything different in the first 4 Orthophotos.

What is happening here?

Version 1.3.4 (5067 64bit) PRO Version

Thank you

Bug Reports / Error: Unsupported datum transformation
« on: February 10, 2017, 07:36:44 PM »
Dear Agisoft Team,

I just calculated a big chunk with a local coordinate system but with large coordinate length.
I generated DEM and when I want to pick a height with a point shape the error: Error: "Unsupported datum transformation" comes up. It still comes up if I change the coordinate system to a different one.

The 1.3 Version shows coordinates in the bottom right corner when I hover over the DEM though.

Is that a bug or am I doing something wrong here?

Python and Java API / Adding third party python libraries
« on: April 14, 2016, 08:15:32 PM »
Hey guys,

I kind of started using python and I was wondering where I have to put the third party libraries when I would like to use them in photoscan python scripting.

thanks in advance!

General / Change default name for markers
« on: December 22, 2015, 10:21:17 AM »
Hey there,
is it possible to change the default names of marker?
When Photoscan searches for Markers it calls them "Target 1" etc..
Can I change this default value anywhere?

Thanks in advance

General / Picture rectification using Photoscan
« on: December 16, 2015, 04:58:22 PM »
Dear Agisoft Team,

I was wondering if its possible to use Photoscan to rectify Images using markers.
To understand what I'm talking about I attached a Picture.

I don't want to make multiple images to get a rectified Image. Just one image with markers which has coordinates.

Thanks in advance!

Feature Requests / Tolerance for masking images by model
« on: July 27, 2015, 01:43:43 PM »
Hey guys,

when using masks it's always great to use a model which is constucted via the sparse cloud to mask the images.
The problem is that this model isn't that good and it would be great to use the "tolerance" bar slider to give it  a threshold. Small details are missing without the use of a tolerance.
It wouldn't be a problem for a couple of images but having a few thousand makes it very usefull.

What do you think about that?

Feature Requests / Image masking by point projection
« on: July 07, 2015, 11:33:03 AM »
Hey guys,

I use Photoscan a lot for UAV-Photogrammetry and it's always taking ages to mask the images when taking a few thousand pictures.
My idea was to add a mask to all pictures by selecting pre-aligned sparse points.

Here the idea for an algorithm:

- Add images, align them (this should be accuate enough)
- View sparse cloud and select all points from the area or the object you want to reproduce.
- click button 'add mask by object'
- go through every picture and find corresponding projection points.
      - calculate hull of these projected points (needs to be a concave hull)
      - the computed hull is the polygon which is the base for an inverted mask
      - add inverted mask to image
- options: add factor to adjust the size of the polygon which is found in every image

afte that, re-calculate the new sparse from images and do your work.

I think this would help a lot of people and should not be very hard to programm. Just a pythin script for your wiki would be great.
What do you think about that?

All the best

General / 3D PDF export resolution and position
« on: May 15, 2015, 01:31:44 PM »
Hey there,
I generated a high resolution texture (8192 px) in Agisoft and would like to export a 3d PDF with the same reolution but when I export it the textures become blurry.
Antoher thing is that the position of the model when opening the pdf is far to much zoomed in.
When I open the Document I get to see 10x10 Pixels filling the whole screen.

Do I have to zoom out before generating the PDF file or do I have to set the coordinatesystem differently?

Thanks in advance!
