General / Can't transform coordinates - Orthophoto export
« on: November 01, 2017, 02:00:25 PM »
After generating 4 Orthophotos using "current view" I tried to generate the 5th Orthophoto from a different view.
Now Photoscan says "Can't transform coordinates" when I try to export the Photo!!!
I didn't do anything different in the first 4 Orthophotos.

What is happening here?

Version 1.3.4 (5067 64bit) PRO Version

Thank you

Hello Alex

I installed the 1.3.4 now and I'm able to export the orthophotos.

I really need to know a fix for "invalid raster transform" when doing orthoimage!!!!!
Could you tell me some way of workaround or are you goin to fix it today?
My customer really needs a solution today....

Bug Reports / Re: Error: Unsupported datum transformation
« on: February 10, 2017, 11:51:53 PM »
Ah okay thank you.
What I did know was to recalculate the DEM on a specific coordinate system and then it worked.
I'll try it the other way around as well.
Thanks

Bug Reports / Error: Unsupported datum transformation
« on: February 10, 2017, 07:36:44 PM »
Dear Agisoft Team,

I just calculated a big chunk with a local coordinate system but with large coordinate length.
I generated DEM and when I want to pick a height with a point shape the error: Error: "Unsupported datum transformation" comes up. It still comes up if I change the coordinate system to a different one.

The 1.3 Version shows coordinates in the bottom right corner when I hover over the DEM though.

Is that a bug or am I doing something wrong here?

Python and Java API / Adding third party python libraries
« on: April 14, 2016, 08:15:32 PM »
Hey guys,

I kind of started using python and I was wondering where I have to put the third party libraries when I would like to use them in photoscan python scripting.

thanks in advance!

General / Change default name for markers
« on: December 22, 2015, 10:21:17 AM »
Hey there,
is it possible to change the default names of marker?
When Photoscan searches for Markers it calls them "Target 1" etc..
Can I change this default value anywhere?

Thanks in advance

General / Picture rectification using Photoscan
« on: December 16, 2015, 04:58:22 PM »
Dear Agisoft Team,

I was wondering if its possible to use Photoscan to rectify Images using markers.
To understand what I'm talking about I attached a Picture.

I don't want to make multiple images to get a rectified Image. Just one image with markers which has coordinates.

Thanks in advance!

Feature Requests / Tolerance for masking images by model
« on: July 27, 2015, 01:43:43 PM »
Hey guys,

when using masks it's always great to use a model which is constucted via the sparse cloud to mask the images.
The problem is that this model isn't that good and it would be great to use the "tolerance" bar slider to give it  a threshold. Small details are missing without the use of a tolerance.
It wouldn't be a problem for a couple of images but having a few thousand makes it very usefull.

What do you think about that?

Feature Requests / Re: Image masking by point projection
« on: July 07, 2015, 05:06:17 PM »
Hey James,
thats pretty much what I was looking for =D
Well but it would be great if Agisoft would implement a threshold because when using the mesh from a sparse cloud, the edges sometimes cut the actual object .
Thanks

Feature Requests / Re: Measurement tools in Agisoft Viewer

That would be in deed a great feature. you often just want to measure a couple of distances or even areas.
I would like to have those features as well.

Feature Requests / Image masking by point projection
« on: July 07, 2015, 11:33:03 AM »
Hey guys,

I use Photoscan a lot for UAV-Photogrammetry and it's always taking ages to mask the images when taking a few thousand pictures.
My idea was to add a mask to all pictures by selecting pre-aligned sparse points.

Here the idea for an algorithm:

- Add images, align them (this should be accuate enough)
- View sparse cloud and select all points from the area or the object you want to reproduce.
- click button 'add mask by object'
- go through every picture and find corresponding projection points.
      - calculate hull of these projected points (needs to be a concave hull)
      - the computed hull is the polygon which is the base for an inverted mask
      - add inverted mask to image
- options: add factor to adjust the size of the polygon which is found in every image

afte that, re-calculate the new sparse from images and do your work.

I think this would help a lot of people and should not be very hard to programm. Just a pythin script for your wiki would be great.
What do you think about that?

All the best

General / Re: Difference between Orthophoto and true orthophoto
« on: May 15, 2015, 01:37:24 PM »
you can use markers to define a specific plane when exporting othophotos.
When I need to export orthophotos of facades I usually export the pointcloud to autoCAD, define 3 points which are in the facade coordinate system and then import those 3 points to photoscan.
When exporting orthophoto I choose planar and projection plane choose "markers" and do:

points: 1001, 1002, 1003

1001
    |
    |
1002 ----------- 1003

  o  Horizontal: 1002 -> 1003
  x  Vertical : 1002 -> 1001

and check the box right next to vertical axis

thats how it works for me
I don't get any tilting effects
