General / BIM/GIS Integration
« on: December 11, 2018, 10:33:36 AM »
Good day all,

I need some assistance, I'm looking for software/solution to integrate BIM & GIS together. I get requests where a client wants to see a BIM model (example: a bridge/conveyor in a model created by agisoft). I've seen ArcGIS can do it, but I'm not on that sort of turnover yet where it's feasible to buy. Is there lower end software where some of you have tried and tested it? Visuals will be good enough, some of the BIM info contains a lot of "behind the scenes" data that is not needed for visualizations.
Thank you

Thank you, working again

I also have the same issue. I thought it was Windows 10, reinstalled Windows 10 and running latest version of Agisoft Photoscan Pro. Missing deadlines due to problem.

Good day,

I would really appreciate it if contours can be exported (shp/dxf) with option to export all within "Outer Boundary" polygon. Getting the contours to be within the Orthomosaic export takes some time in Survey Software that I'm using.

Maybe just a tick box to use "Outer Boundary" for contour export.

Thank you

General / Tarmac road not showing smooth surface
« on: June 21, 2016, 01:53:29 PM »
Hi,

I'm having trouble getting tarmac road to show smooth surface.

When building a dense cloud I use High quality and aggressive filtering. Started out at medium quality and mild filtering and still get same results. The photo's was taken at 70% forward and sidelaps as a minimum, at some places sidelaps was up to 80%.

I'm adding 2 screenshots to show dense cloud to see what it is and solid triangle to show uneven road surface.

Any suggestions in workflow to improve would be greatly appreciated.

Alex,

No it's not there. Screengrabs to show.

Alex,

I'm running into similar issues as discussed above, only this time I'm building it in planar TopXY 180 rotation. No export. attached is the log file.

We use Samsung NX1100, and (touch wood) only good results so far.

Hi,

It will be very useful when drawing a poly-line, polygon or point(s) to label them as something ie where it shows poly-line, polygon points in the workspace tab under "shapes" one should have a option when selecting the "option" to name it or for when it appear under shape to right click and give a name there.

Also a Text  option would be very useful ie to annotate Stockpiles for a client on a orthomosaic.

Thank you

Edited:
Addition to the request: Can the points option be continuous rather than selecting point the whole time to generate some required points.

General / Classify Ground Points
« on: February 02, 2016, 11:53:16 AM »
Good day,

I'm having trouble getting a "clear cut" classification on the points. With buildings, there's always point start at the bottom going towards the top and then the Tree or building at the top are classified. Can someone please guide me to what you think think the best "Search/classify parameters" are for this function.

Thank you

Was just giving ideas for the Software team to add ideas with existing functionality. I'm pretty sure this achievable, hopefully it is in the next software update ;D This will surely help a lot of people doing volume calcs for their clients

Feature Requests / Re: Monitoring change of repeat surveys tool

This feature will be extremely helpfull in Mining/Construction too, I'm sure other industries will benefit too.
There are other software that can do these things, but ultimately an "One Stop Solution" is best resort in stead of multiple software to deliver end product to client.
