Bug Reports / Re: Export Orthomosaic

Typical......... When running through the steps in order to get you what you need, then it works. But I think the polygon that assist with the trim has something to do with it, smaller area to be exported.

If I may add to this, there is a polyline function, why not use the polyline to identify the area where volume is needed, you can then ID the polyline ie Stockpile X, Y, Z etc, and then write the volumes to a simple txt file with every polyline set having their areas/volumes

Alex,

another issue relating to mosaic export. One of my previous projects (using 544 photos) that I've run on 1.1.6 exported everything I needed at the time including ortho mosaic. The problem is, import/opening it with the latest revision, is good, but when exporting ortho mosaic (after building it), my PC gives me a popup windows "Not enough memory"
I just want to know if the software has changed to use more memory whereby one can only work on smaller jobs because of memory issue. (I'm using exact same PC)

Is there something you can perhaps advise me on setting in order to get over this

Thank you Alex, how long before we can expect an update? Sorry, just want to work out an answer for clients. Thank you for looking into the problem.

Bug Reports / Re: Export Orthomosaic

Alex,

I'm working in EPSG::2054, I have figured out that when "Building orthomosaic" with option "North Up" checked, it does not export Orthomosaic. With "North Up" not checked it exports ortho mosaic, but with Export window and "North Up" option checked, it still gives me south up orientation photos, regardless if the option (North UP) is checked or not.

I have actually restored my PC incase there is a hardware issue, but I'm getting same result as before

Bug Reports / Export Orthomosaic
« on: January 15, 2016, 12:43:19 PM »
I can't export orthomosaic. I have done the "Build Orthomosaic" When I select export orthomosaic, the process starts but then quickly finish as if it is done, then when I browse for the file where it should've been saved, there is none. I have even done the project all over again, and uninstall and reinstalled the software, but no luck. Any advice?

This will help a lot from a mapping point of view too, most of the time you cover a bigger area to ensure the required area is covered. The extra data not needed could be very valuable in terms of processing time. Our company will certainly benefit with this option if available.

sounds to me like a error in the false northing or something similar if it works for the dem and you double checked using the same settings for the ortho then it might be a bug.
try to convert into other system for export as temporary solution you should still be able to convert it back in a GIS software
frank

If I select "North Up" option on Geotiff, then the bottom corners of the export tile is what looks like the actual top corners, and if I do not check the "North up" option, it appears in correct position, but just upside down. I still need to remove the negative (-) sign because it's actually positive.
I hope if it's a bug, it can be solve fairly quickly, for most clients really wants orthophoto background on surveys.

Ill try to use another projection to see if it is the same result. Thank yo for the sugestion

When exporting DEM to yxz fileformat it comes out the correct coordinates, but when I'm exporting Geotiff with the same projection, it adds (-) to the coordinates which takes it to the wrong quadrant. I then delete the (-) in (The survey package I'm using - ModelMaker) in order to get it to the correct quadrant, but now the photo is still upside down (and appears to be in the correct position) and I cannot change the coordinate in order to rotate the photo.
The projection is for South Africa Hartbeeshoek94 - LO31.

Hi,

I need to work out the quickest way to have an area layout ready for draft presentation for auditors to witness that everything (area) is accounted for before I leave site. It will be +/-350 photo's to be processed with 70% laps. The purpose of the project will be to calculate volumes, but I can do that in my own time away from site where there is much less time constrains. The main thing is a presentation (processed to show areas of stockpiles) to be witnessed.

General / Orthophoto Export

Good day,

I want to find out when exporting to orthophoto if there is a option somewhere (Photo Scan Pro) to change the background (outside the photo) from black to white for example.

Attached is a example.
