General / Metashape Tiled Model

I hve upgraded to Metashape and due to the fact that standard 3D models often crash while building im doing tiled models, wich are pretty fast in view mode so I really love them.

But compared to standard Mesh Model in tiled model there is no way to delete some parts of the models, for example if you see that a part in the border has not been created well it's better to delete it instead of sending it to the client. So you can't do a free form select in tiled models.

Also I would like to know if there is a really good way to share Tiled models, becouse I think they ar much better for client view as uploading to sketchfab a reduced model. The tiled model has a really good ground resolution. I downloaded Sputnik, but since there is no demo it's not possible to test how we could deal with it.

Is there any other option to upload tiled models & view them in in a webgl app?

General / Metashape RAM usage

Hello to all
On the website comparition between Agisoft & Metashape it is said that using depht maps the memory usage has been reduced a lot. Unfotunately some projects still crash due to Memory overload in Building Mesh process, almost at the end.

Would it be possible to update this table?

Becouse it would help a lot having some better advices how RAM we need to install on the systems. Maybe the calculation could be done using 20 MPixel images (wich is almost standard today for many applications)

General / Rolling Shutter

Im wondering, where in Agisoft 1.4 I can set to make Rolling Shutter optimisation as well...

in a project with 1.3 I could activate Rolling Shutter in optimize settings, while in 1.4 this option isn't availabe. But I cant find it on other place. Any help?

Becouse under camera settings I can enable Rolling shutter, but the processing report says, it didn't fix the Rolling shutter. Why?

Would it be possible when creating new markers that Photoscan goes directly into the renaming function?

It is a pain each time create markers with point1, point2, ecc. and than click each single to rename it

General / Marker Refinement

Im processing a vast area photogrammetry, pictures are in WGS84 format

I have about 50 markers in Gauss Kruger format

If I import them, I can set the coordinates for markers & pictures separately, and I have them in a very close position to the pictures taken.

I would like to make marker refinement...

I have created the Orthomosaic and would like to place the markers on top since I have a high resolution
Is this possible? Becouse I don't see any markers unfortunately

General / Volume calculation in DEM with wather surface

I need to do a volume calculation of a gravel with a lake in the mid of it.

The water level is 513,5m. I have tried to clear up the densepoints within the shoreline as good as possible, but obviosly you cannot delete every point... so probably this part is not very perfect.

Whe calculating DEM it creates also high values within the lake. But if you define the shoreline shape as a inner border for exported DEM it creates something like a hole.... please see this image



Unfortunately when trying to do a calculation over the lake it seems like there are some errors



So Im wondering how to deal with this sitation. Is there any way to have something like a cutting plane on the sealevel so that all points within this cutting plane or the shoreline Shape could be set to the right value of 513,5m Altitude?

Becouse otherwise the volume calculations "below" will give wrong values.

Im wondering if it is possible to change a purchased License to someone else ownership... one of our partners, wich own Agisoft Pro, is leaving the company and he asked us to pay him the License out.

General / Exporting Contours from DEM

Im wondering what the best way to export Contours is. I know I can export them from the Export Shapes Function. But is there any way we can export the also as DWG/DXF?

QGis is not able to open the generated contours from Agisoft...

General / How to deal with lakes

Is there any workflow to deal with lakes and wahter surfaces that reflekt? Becouse the dense point cloud generates very wrong informations and I would like to dlete the entire lake part for orthomosaic... is there any simpler way than to use the lasso?

General / Importing Sonar Data or GeoTiff & Compine with Drone Survey

Im doing a Drone Survey on an area with lake. The lake will be scanned with Sonar data processed in other Software. I can export the files as geoTiff and or ESRI Shape Files.

Is there any way I can compine the entire model within Agisoft & export it as one file?

General / Export GeoTIFF, modify with Lightroom & than export to KMZ

For a client case I need to do a double export...

first he wants a highress GeoTIFF, than also the KMZ file so that he can directly view it in Google Earth. He asked also if we can do some special color correction in lightroom or something else, so that he can see things better if we apply some false colors...

We can export the highres Geotiff & Import it in Lightroom, do the requested false color overlay, but how can we create a google KMZ file after that? Is it possible to import the geotiff into Photoscan again and do a kmz export?

Im wondering if texture size can be choosen individual or if it has to be a multiplication of 4096....

can I choose to use a 8000 px or 6000 px texture as well?

Whats the difference between Orthofoto & Adaptive Orthofoto....?
