General / Re: Confused on NDVI Workflow for 2 Canon S100 cameras
« on: August 17, 2016, 01:01:52 PM »
Im still too interested in this kind of workflow. Im wondering what type of camera do you need`?

is it enough to have one RGB and one infrared camera?
or do you need more cameras with different filters for infrared & near infrared?

Can you please explain the processing of how you interpret the data from only RGB + Infrared pictures?

Would be vey thankful

Im wondering if the GPUs needs to be connected via SLI or CrossFire Adapter or if they are just inserted and running as 2 separate GPUs in Agisoft...

can anyone help regarding this?
Thanks

Dear Alexey
Here a Orthomosaic from a Sub-Chunk.

http://files.viramedia.de/Ronsberg.jpg

Full-Model can be seen here
https://sketchfab.com/models/9e6487fdb9a9456eaac1f82b8ea3b9e0

The process was:

1. importing about 300 images with Geotag
2. Agisoft Lens Cal saved calibration settings
3. Photoscan Camera calibration loaded Agisoft Lens XML file
4. Workflow Alignement
4. Optimize all camera settings except P3 P4
5. Cleaning spae cloud with wrong pixels as good as possible
6. creating dense point cloud
7. creating mesh high
8. creating orthomosaic

Have I done something wrong?
Thanks for helping

we are new too in Aerial Survey and Im not used with GIS tools unfortunately. So I hoped there is a simple way to export it...

when I open the file in QGis the TIFs are stretched, so it does not look good

My question was if Phtoscan can directly export something like this colored DEM withouth any other GIS Tools...
since clients are not able to overlap those images.

If this feature could be added, it would be great. Since Agisoft is already able to show it, it would make sense to have an export feature as well

exactly... the exportet DEM is a grayscale TIF with altitude informations

is there any way to export the colored DEM that is viewable in Agisoft as image, since client does not have any GIS software

Thanks

General / Exporting visual DEM with Contours

Im wondering if there is any simple way to export the visual DEM model insteat of creating a black/white TIF that need to be processed in other GIS tools.

Some clinets just want the visualised DEM as I can see it in Photoscan directly. If I do a screenshot, I have only low res.

Is there any way to export this in higher res?

Thanks for helping

thanks for helping. than with the option of 2x R9 390 with a Hexa Core CPU & 128GB RAM I should have a great performance...

As adviced from you I have installed a new 1.2.5 version on a test computer and we could process better the images, also becouse we used Agisoft Lens and importet the calibration. Thank you for your help in this

but still I have some issues to resolve, for example a lot of artefacts especially on buildings & trees

Really thanks for your great comments

you are right, mostly those GPUs are just relabelt from 290 to 390 series

But the 390 series has 8 GB of DDR5 RAM which should improve a lot the memory performance. And a 290X costs almost the same as a new 390X or even higher.

390 & 390x have now very similar price points

on pugetsystems they compare only NVIDIA, so Im not sure how it works for Radeons, but probably it should also give 35% more power. On the other hand, you need to disable one CPU core for each GPU, so you lose one more. What do you think?

we have decided to go for 4x 16 GB DDR4 ram with the option to upgrade to 128 GB later

regarding SSD, does anyone of you use it? I have them on my video editing workstation and really happy since I have multiple streams in 4K, but Im not sure if it is needed for Agisoft

Camera Calibration / Agisoft Lens to Photoscan
« on: July 24, 2016, 05:41:28 PM »
Is there any way to export the Lens calibration of Agisoft Lens so that Agisoft Photoscan can use the calibration & distortion informations to optimize the alignment?

I don't understand why Photoscan canno open the .lnz file....

How can I calibrate a camera directly in Photoscan when I don't have access to the calculated errors from Agisoft lens?

Thanks for helping

General / Hardware for Agisoft
« on: July 24, 2016, 04:25:34 PM »
Im checking out the possibilities to do a PC upgrade for Agisoft & Autodesk Civil 3D

My idea is

Intel Core i7-5820K Hexa-Core
8x8GB DDR4 Kit (total 64GB)
Radeon R390 8GB GPU

Does it make sense to go for 128 GB of RAM or is it better to have a second Radeon R390 8 GB GPU installed? Are AMD Radeon Multi GPUs supportet in Agisoft, since all reccomandations are only talking about NVIDIA GPUs? How is the performance impact? What are your suggests?

Should the pictures all be on a SSD or is a SSHD good enough?
Thanks for helping

General / Massive Artefacts in Orthofoto & 3D model export
« on: July 23, 2016, 04:18:31 PM »
Especially when we do processing of aerial survey over buildings and trees I have a lot of artefacts on exporting the Orthofotos...

building lines not clear, roofs very bumpy, solar panels not clear....

on average mode I have strong blending, while in mosaic I have holes...

How can I optimize this errors?
Thanks
