Bug Reports / Re: Bug loading photos
« on: December 15, 2023, 05:06:50 AM »
I see you want to "But we need to put them all together to separate the groups by coordinates".

You can sort images by either latitude and longitude by exposing the EXIF data in Windows File Explorer details view.
First you need to do a registry tweak to allow those columns to appear.

I have attached a .reg file which allows this to happen.
You can merge this into the Windows Registry.
Recommended:  Preview .reg files in NotePad to see what they are about to do.

See screenshot from my computer after using this:

Python and Java API / Re: How to load shp file in project ?

File > Import > Import shape...
I believe it has to be a 3D shape file, not a 2D version.

Email is inefficient anyway. Use a cloud storage & sharing service. I recommend pCloud. Or WeTransfer which doesn't even require an account.

EXIFtool should be able to extra altitudes, probably into a .CSV file. Then you can sort that.
This is a free command-line program for MS Windows.
Some extraction examples, and insert examples, here: https://exiftool.org/faq.html

Bug Reports / Re: Import ortho error message
« on: November 01, 2022, 11:36:24 PM »
Hi Alexey,

I had no current project.
I just wanted to split the ortho into two pieces using a shape file, retaining the coordinates for each piece.

In the end I used IrfanView 64-bit and manually recalculated the new coordinates.

Bug Reports / Import ortho error message
« on: November 01, 2022, 01:58:01 AM »
When I try to import a large GeoTIFF, after I choose the coordinate system, I get this message.
Image was 32586 x 35190 pixels, and saved with the YCbCr color model.

"Error: Empty Frame Path"
I tried in versions 1.6.5 and 1.8.4

General / Sample PSX sub file please
« on: September 01, 2022, 02:27:06 AM »
I accidentally saved a new empty project over a PSX file I was working on, so now my project won't open.
My processing had completed to the end of creating a Dense Cloud, and I see that is there inside the MyProject.files\0\0\dense_cloud\

[Update]
I have restored all the other necessary files from a backup.
The project now opens and I can see photos, sparse cloud, markers etc, but I can't see the Dense Cloud.
The Dense Cloud was created after my last backup.

What text do I need to add into one of the files so that the project can see the Dense Cloud file?
Thanks!

[Update 2 - solved]
Looks like I've fixed it. Crossing my fingers.
I put extra stuff (<covariance>... from another project into chunk.zip/doc.xml
Putting the following into frame.zip/doc.xml was the final fix.
<dense_cloud id="0" path="dense_cloud/dense_cloud.zip"/>

Try exiftool.
I've used it to extract metadata. It appears you can use it to add metadata also.

Agisoft Cloud / Re: Agisoft Cloud failure

I had tried Merge Chunks first, but this failed - as described in my first message.

I don't know why it should do image matching. Each of the two projects have a good mesh. I was hoping that the meshes would just join up, with some way of averaging them where they overlapped.

I expect to complete the orthophoto production on my PC within about 36 hours. Once I've checked those on Monday (NZ time), I will consider cancelling the Cloud processing, which may still be running.

Hi Alexey,

I'm running the align chunks now. It is taking a very long time.
Meanwhile I'm creating orthophotos on each separate chunk in case I don't end up with one good combined project.

Agisoft Cloud / Agisoft Cloud failure
« on: December 10, 2020, 04:19:26 AM »
So I was merging two chunks on Agisoft Cloud and this is the email I received.

processing failed :(
We are sorry to tell you that an error occurred while processing your project.
Please try again!
https://cloud.agisoft.com

No hints as to what went wrong!
Unfortunately there is no log file accessible that I could see.

When I sync it back to my PC, I see this in the log - perhaps helpful?
Error: Empty pairs list

Hold that thought:
Looks like I missed a step. Have to align chunks before I merge them. Perhaps a warning would have helped?

General / glDrawElements - out of memory
« on: December 08, 2020, 03:58:47 AM »
I created a high quality mesh on Agisoft Cloud.
When I open my project, the files download successfully, but then I get a large number of out of memory errors, such as
renderer_qgl.cpp line 616: glDrawElements(encodePrimitiveType(type), (GLsizei) countElements(type, chunk), encodeFormat(iformat), (GLvoid *) ((char *) indices + offset)) failed: Out of memory

Is this just a display/rendering error/limitation?
Can I still proceed to use the files, or have I lost data?

Thanks
Ross

General / Merging two .psx files
« on: December 07, 2020, 03:49:16 AM »
I see that I can use FILE > APPEND to merge two .psx files.

Can that be done at almost any stage? I'm going to create the two meshes first, as this is memory intensive. Then merge the models. Then create orthophoto tiles after that.

My reason is so there are no image glitches in the overlap area of the two models.
Good idea? No problems likely?

Thanks.

General / Re: Cloud processing limits
« on: November 30, 2020, 12:14:51 PM »
Thanks Alexey.
I have got one third of it processing at the moment. I will consider combining the other two-thirds for the next chunk later tomorrow, and will email my request then.
