General / Re: Haze on colorcharts and rulers
« on: February 25, 2022, 12:45:22 AM »
Okay so I spent couple of hours masking 336 photographes and that worked! white haze is gone. I didn't mask focus but pure the objects. I masked out the table. Good to know for future projects.
thanks
René

I'm going to try that, but I still think something else is going on. because I use 3 groups of photographes It looks like the texture of the table is coming through. I made a texture with blending mode disabled and this is what it looks like.

General / Haze on colorcharts and rulers
« on: February 23, 2022, 01:18:06 AM »
I've taken 3 series of photographs of this object. Each time there was 1 colorchart included. It's on a turntable with the ruler around the object. What I don't understand is why the rulers and the colorcharts aren't clear. There is some kind of haze on top of them.  I thought it might be the white from the turntable projected onto the mesh.  After I noticed this I generated masks in each photograph and did it all over again, but without any luck. Can anyone tell me please what is going on? see attachments.
Thanks
René

General / Re: resetting predefined views
« on: December 07, 2021, 07:05:42 PM »
Yes, has always been that way. some 3D programs use Y axis as up, so to standardize the files I would like to be able to use the 'right' side up. I guess this is as far as it goes..... everything works for me except the views. Would be nice if I could rename them.

what is alright now: Y axis is pointing up and grid is xz, but the keyboardshortcuts are wrong now. "7" shows side instead of top, "1" shows bottom instead of front etc.

after reorienting the view, objects and the grid to xz I've got my Y axis the way I want it.... to the top. But the predefined views are wrong now. 7 should show topview, 1 front. etc.
is there a way to set these right so I can use them the way i'm used to?

I've aligned mesh from a light scanner with the mesh from metashape in meshlab and they are perfectly aligned. In metashape the mesh from scanner is about half the object-size lower than the imported mesh from metashape. I want to use it in the same location so I can use the textures from metashape. I am confused, tried moving axis etc. but no luck. Can anyone explain to me what is happening? Thank you.

Hi Alexey,
as I stated, my mistake, it worked out anyway.
But thanks

I must appologize for my question. I drew some lines over the exported map and imported again, and the lines showed up all over the 3D model! so the map is the full map. I couln't imagine it was the full map, but here you go. so sorry for the question asked.

René

General / UV map only shows part of mapping
« on: September 27, 2021, 04:57:29 PM »
Hi,
when I generate texture and look at the exported texture it only shows part of the map. The 3D model is a cup and looks fine with texture so that's not the problem. On the jpg I can only see part of the outside and smaller part of the inside. So...where can I find the rest? It must be somewhere, cause it's showing on the 3D model. anyone knows what's going on?
thanks

General / re-linking photos after moving folder

Hi,
is there a way to re-link the original photos again after I've moved the folder with the photographes to a different location? can I change the path in any way so Photoscan can find them again?
Tnkx

Thanks Stihl
I understand. But there is usually a lot of overlapping going on. I thought maybe we can choose the priority for a certain area? (mouseright on the area in mesh and choose photo and give priority for texture)  I know some programs for panoramacreation  have this option

Looking at the grass I also see blurred parts. That's not reflectionrelated. That brings up a similar question? can we choose a photo for texturing (like in % how much influence a certain photo has on the texture)?
