Dear Alex,

Thank you for reporting the issue.

It seems that when you draw a polygon on an orthomosaic some vertices are placed under the earth surface, which leads to the behavior you are observing.

What you can do at the moment is move misplaced vertices to desired positions, in order to do that select the polygon then click and drag the vertex to the desired position.

Meanwhile we will investigate the issue further and hopefully come up with the fix shortly.

Thank you for your clarification.

First, we highly recommend you to update Metashape to the latest released version, in every version we implement fixes and improvements, so a simple update may solve a lot of problems. In case it will not, please submit a support ticket on our support portal, because most likely we will need access to the project, and we believe that in this context it would be better to continue communication by email.

The ability to download the processing results is in our plans, but at this stage it is difficult to give some kind of forecast about the release date of the corresponding functionality.

As for the pause button - we will think about what we can do.

Hello,

First please update Metashape up to the latest release version (2.0.3) . It is completely free and it will significantly improve your experience. In Metashape 2.0 a new upload / download protocol is implemented, which is more stable and what is crucial - handles upload / download interruptions, while in 1.8.5. download always starts from scratch in case of interruptions.

Regarding how the progress is displayed in a download window, let's say you have a 50GB project, you download 25 GB of it and then cancel the download.  Next time you open the project you will see that 25GB are remaining to download, but in the progress bar you will see 0%.

Hello,

Unfortunately it is impossible to download only selected processing results as it leads to project inconsistency.

When you cancel the download procedure, partially downloaded files are being deleted, while fully downloaded files are being preserved and reused during the next download session if the cloud version of the project has not been changed since.

Regarding the error you are facing when attempting to build Mesh -  can you please clarify if you deleted depth maps via user interface or you’ve just deleted the folder in project.files? Also please make sure that you configure Point Cloud as a source data for building Mesh operation and that the processing region contains any points.

Hello,

Starting from version Metashape 2.0.2, the download procedure starts from the place where it was interrupted, and already fully downloaded files are not redownloaded.

However, and this is what may confuse you, although the size of the files left to download is displayed in the download window taking into account the files already downloaded, the progress indicator always starts at 0%, regardless of whether any data has already been downloaded.

Thank you for your feedback.

At the moment you can add the link to a third party resource as geometry property value, the downside here is it will be displayed as a plain text you or other people viewing the project need to copy and paste into the browser address bar.

Hello,

Without using the same set of ground control points it is unfortunately very hard to co-align data from different flights with a high precision.

But in case the absolute location precision is not required and you only need to visually compare changes we can propose you to align one project to another using markers. To do that you have to place markers in the first project selecting the features that can be clearly identified in the second project and use them as ground control points for the second project.

Hello,

While the way you approached the task is valid, it is not optimal.

When you upload a .PSX project from Metashape to the Cloud it is considered as a photogrammetry project, so all data in the project is considered as photogrammetry processing results. In order to view processing results of a photogrammetry project it has to be published. Publication takes some time so after you publish the project you will not see any processing results on the project view page.

In case you need to put only specific processing results online the recommended approach is to export the required processing result as a file in a format supported in the Cloud, create an empty project on your personal dashboard, open the project and upload the file as a dataset.

Agisoft Cloud can be accessed via Python API with Metashape.CloudClient() class, however the available options are limited. It is available to process the project in the cloud, monitor the processing status and download results, but it is not available to execute custom scripts in the cloud.

Whether your pipeline includes Metashape processing tasks and custom post processing, we suggest you combine the cloud and local processing. For example you can send the images for alignment to the cloud, when alignment is completed you can download the processed project and perform  custom post processing locally before sending the next task to the cloud.
