General / ERDAS AutoSync and Metashape project Question

Has anyone in here worked on Autosync workstation in the past and use it from ERDAS of the same project and use it in Agisoft Metashape and evaluate it  ?

When I first stared using ERDAS AutyoSync and worked on them.  My co-worker was not happy with the results. My co-worker recommend me of this Agisoft Metashape and worked on it since then.

I still have it and what I am trying to do is retrieve the points that I used from Autoysnc and use them in Agisoft Metashape .

So have you ?? I'd like to hear comments on it.

My plan was to get one of them and use it to correct the errors that I did in Autosync.

General / My Viewpoint won't reset to Viewpoint at 100%

Hi ,

I need your help how to solve a problem with Reset Viewpoint on my Model View.

For some reason , I could not figure it out how to get it to reset to see the full view.

Perhaps can you tell me why ?

Edit: February 15, 2022 , I still have not hear anything about this.  I have been working on other projects and then came back this today.

General / Have a question about the Tie points matching on a black and white photo

I do have a question for you . 

Would black color on the black and white pick up  a few tie points because it cannot determine to find it is matching features on that photo ?

It was just on my mind and wonder about that

Would I need to make it a brighter make a difference ?

I do have a question for you.

When I compare the Latitude and Longitude and Altitude in the Model View and Ortho View , they do not the same. Is there something that I need to fix to correct it ?

General / Need a solution to correct orthophotos issues

I do have a question that I need help from you all using old aerial photos .

When I work on 18 of cameras and work through the workflow. I export it to orthomosaic and it came out fine and all clear BUT there is one problem is

When I exported 18 of them to orthophotos, I found some a few of them came out holes...

The Problem is that I have a several of the original images had some sort of ink spilled into on some of the images or might be somebody that had accidently touch it ...

I have put together  to show you  3 screenshots here in my pdf

Screenshot has the original photo is what I got from my agency. It has several of similiar like this .. probably at least 5 of them or more..

Screenshot is what I build 18 of cameras into one.

Screenshot 3. is what I export 18 of them into orthophotos each one.

Is there a solution to it to fix the orthophotos similar to the one you see screenshot # 2 ?

I would like to get feedback from you about this .

General / Orthophotos show some holes Question

Have a question about holes on a few orthophotos after I export Orthomosaic.

When I build an orthomosaic, I can see no problems at all  BUT...

When I review each orthophoto, I found a few holes and wonder why what can cause that ?

I have been trying to figure it out how to fix it but no luck.

When I use orthomosaic the settings I set are follow as :

Coordinate System : NAD83/ UTM zone 13N (EPSG:26913)
Rater:  Leave as Pixel Size (m)
Region : Leave as Total Size (pix)

Enable Write title Scheme:
Compression   TIFF compression as Deflate
JPEG Quality as 90
Enable as Write tiled TIFF
Enable as Generate TIFF overwrite

Use JPEG 2000 to export both orthophotos and Orthomosaic




Same area overlaps.

When I export orthomosaic and show the same as orthophoto I show you does not have holes.



Do you know what may be causing it ?

General / Photo Pane Show or Hide Points Question

Can anyone help me how to understand this..

In each photo, at the tope of the menu you turn on show or hide points.

What I am trying to understand this.   Why does the grey circles show up at the bottom and top ?

You can see the grey points as a not tie points for some reasons, my question is is it because of color difference ?  or is it something else ?

General / Add a photo needed after already workflow Now what ?

I do have a question about a project I worked on in the past. In it has 5 photos and is already build Dense Cloud, Mesh, Texture, DEM and Orthomosaic.

Now I need to add one more to it because the person needs it.

What is the best practice to do this ?

General / Why so many seamlines circles ?

When I built an orthomosaic, and you  build a seamlines.  If you have them so many circles , what does it mean ?

Do I have to fix it to elimate it ?

General / Question about Seamlines

Question about seamlines.

When I build an orthomosaic and I finally decided to try and turn it on "show seamlines".  I can see when it draws it,  My question to you when I see one area that has strange with small circles of each seamlines...

My question to you is  : Does it mean that tie points is in an error or is it the tie points at the site in the wrong area  ?

I provide two pictures . One picture shows small area where the circles are... The second picture is an overall.

General / Project was from older version carried over to the New Version issues ?

Alexy,

I am very puzzled here with all the blue flags I have here on my Photos view...

I worked on this project from a older version a couple of years ago and it was done...

Now I am revive it back and I am working on it again this time the newer version with the basemap.

Whenever I click on that photo with blue flag, I see none blue flag  just green ones..

Is there a bug I am seeing ?

General / Bright and Darker Black and White suggesting improving photos ?

I do have a question for you.  before I go insane ! LOL

When I first started working on several projects for different areas. My Co-worker asked me to work on one area called Cascade Creek Area. It is in Colorado, USA

So back then I was starting to learn how to use your software... and load them and the photos was aligned ....

Now fast forward,  My co-worker has retired and I promise him that I would come back and fix this Cascade Creek Area

So it has been a while since I put it on hold.  I worked on it but it does not overlay great and some markers on the photo shift a bit..

Now I am back on it again and review each marker and photos...

I realized that there are a few black and white photos that are mixed in darker and brighter.

The Brighter photos are difficult to read and I was wonder if it is possible me to reset it again with the update paths ?

What  I mean is that if I have a Photoshop and I have a few bright photos and open it in Photoshop and fix it and save it as the same as raw photos.

Will that update the fixed photos from Photoshop in the Metashape that I save as before ?

Do I need to right click on these photos and  check or Change paths to update them ?

I tried the Adjust Color Levels but no luck....

Do you have any suggesting for this black and white ?
