Is this something that will improve in the future?

I have an I9 9900K with 32 gb ram and gtx1080Ti, but i want to create dense point clouds in ultra settings to combine with laser scanning, but since 1.6.x the time to create them have increased to much, more then a week to create a solid model with tweak: max neighbours = -1 or else the model looks rubbish.

Is it then better to downgrade to 1.5.X or even 1.4.X versions? I dont care about mesh i only make dense clouds and orthos.

Anyone got an idea?

General / P4 RTK questions workflow error in convertin?

Hello,

I have a pilot who sends me data collected with the P4RTK, i can only get good results iff i use a lot of GCP's, deselect al the photos and run optimisation on all parameters,  like you would do in a normal P4P workflow.

When using only 1 ground control point i have 8 cm error in Northing axes, can it be that there is a problem with agisoft to convert from WGS84 to my local projection?
In this case i'm using 31370 (Belgium lambert 72).

Hello All,

I have this problem, i flew a mission, my pictures look super sharp, but when aligning a part does not align. I can align them in a new chunk but when creating a model, everything is flat.

Anyone has an idea?

Alexey,

I have aligned my project on high, 120000 keypo limit.

After the alignment i filtered the pointcloud:
-first i optimised cameras with: FIt F k1 k2 k3 cxcy p1 p2
-uncertainty = 10 + optimize camera
-projection accuracy: 2.5 + optimize cameras

then i optimezed all cameras with all corrections and added my gcp's + marked them in all pictures

i filtered 1 more time : reprojection error:0.35

Then i deselected all cameras and run optimezed with all corrections and only gcp.

The result was huge errors on all GCP's see attached marker result.

When i processed the same project on the older version i had errors of 0.02 cm on all markers.

The accuracy was checked only in metashape.

Accuracy of pictures is on standard 10 m and of gcp =0.005

Using coordinate system: 31370 lambert 72 belgium

I recreated a 3d model with the newest version today (1.62)
Now i have errors of more than 50 cm on my gcps, is there a problem with this new version?

How do you mean? You can draw polygons around errors on the ortho and choose different images to use to repair.

General / Marker errors compared to model

Hello everyone,

I was wondering why in the reference panel my markers are displaying very small errors.
When i import my pointcloud into autocad and checking my point cloud to my measured points i have errors much bigger than agisoft is telling me in the Z axis.  Using 1.5.5.

Anyone have an opinion or ideas?

Hello everyone,
I noticed a difference of 10 cm between the DSM created from metashape and the real height of a point measured in the raw pointcloud.
Is there a explanation to this?

Is there any new news or setting to aply on this topic, i have a big project, processed in 1.5.5 and have still the same problems.
Attached a screenshot, i spended already several hours cleaning. No tweaks are being used.
