Quite frustrating. It seems it should be such a simple fix. The interpolation is causing quite a headache when having to clean up unwanted geometry. I sent a PM to Metashape staff with no response, so I will send again.

Any updates?

Have you been able to re-create the issue?

Yes, same problem. I just tested meshing with depth maps, volumetric masks, and interpolation disabled but still appears to be interpolating.

This is becoming a very frustrating problem. Agisoft, please fix the disabled interpolation bug!!!

Bug Reports / Meshing Interpolation Disabled produces interpolation

See screenshot. This has been encountered in numerous projects and by other users.

See screenshot. This clearly seems to be a bug.

I've had this issue in prior versions and from other posts it appears others are also having a problem with "disabled" interpolation and resulting meshes appearing to still be interpolated.

For what it's worth, the projects I have experienced this with include LiDAR data.

I am meshing a flat surface, using strict volumetric masks, Depth Maps + Laser scans. The resulting mesh edges of the flat surface are rounded off. This causes quite an inconvenience in the workflow for this project.

Alexey. here is a thread that took me down this path for the coordinate conversion, specifically mesage 10 by Pointdump:

I am trying to get Metashape data to Autodesk 3DSMAX while being able to set the point of origin of the data, ideally, to one of the markers - maybe this can be done through another method.

Thanks for the reply Alexey. But there is no calculation that can predict this based on the reprojection error, at least not in Metashape?

I seem to be having similar issue. I imported laser scans to Metashape and manually added masks around the area I want meshed. I also classified various points of the laser scans. I then created a mesh using strict volumetric masks but the resulting mesh is unexpectedly blobby although I have interpolation disabled. I would have thought that there should be no mesh where I have applied the masks. It's almost like both the masks and disabled interpolation are being ignored. This is with 2.0.3 on PC.

I am exploring getting WGS84 coordinate Laser scans and drone data exported to e57/FBX file using a marker as a pre-determined local coordinate. It seems this can be done with a custom projection file? I am not familiar with the syntax. Hoping someone can provide an example or shed some light on this. Thanks in advance.
