Feature Requests / Numbers instead of ********

hello..

sometimes I get a "?" in the blending texture line... difficult to know which image ...

if you get this, you have to count..

like ******************************************************?********?******

not really ideal..  :P

so it would be really helpful to have the images numbers there like this..

10,12,13,14,15,16,22,23,24,26,27,28(?),29,30, etc...

Feature Requests / Baking Displacement

Hello...

That would be sooo awesome if we could bake a displacement map from a high res. mesh...

let me explain...

I have just made a large piece of terrain , with high setting reconstruction, I get 157 millions polys, that I can reduce to 50 millions... but still, trying to retopo such large mesh can be problematic, as I plan to go even much higher in resolution ...

so what about the possibility to have a bake solution right there in Pscan !  8)

the way I see it :

- Load images
- Align
- Reconstruct
- Texture

Then :

- Duplicate and decimate the huge mesh to a pretty low poly number..
- Bake displacement command>> basically baking the difference between the high and the low mesh to get a displacement map..

PS. don't get me wrong, I know how to do it in 3dCoat, but it's just that loading such huge high res mesh is not possible in these sort of app. (max is around 25 millions polys, even though I have 256 gb ram)..... on  the other hand Pscan can handle VERY large meshes....

I wonder how much Mudbox and Zbrush can  handle before crashing...?


Anyway, this would be soooo nice, and would save me hours of headache ... make it available only in pro, no problem...

hello.. I am looking for making a multi cam setup, with maybe 20 cam.. all around a turntable to scan object that are quiet unstable (mostly food), so my plan is to shoot with ... 16 cams (max for this app) all spaced evenly around a table, then I can turn the turntable and shoot another round of 20 photos...

I am looking for a way to trigger all that, and found this one...

Hello..

I am making a model from a turntable photo set..

I have 79 cameras... (21 mpix)..

I did a reconstruct at Ultra high settings... with Smooth... well it extracted 850 mill. points (so double it for poly count.. oups :))... with 105 GB ram used.. and then went out of memory...

When I did a High reconstruct, Pscan ended up with 42 millions polys... How come ultra high would produce 40 X more...?...? I notice that even though I have specified 150 mill. polys in prefs. it has to go full def. and then decimated it...

hello, when Pscan calculates the depth maps, I can see them adding in the left panel (right under he cameras), my question is this... Can I stop the Pscan process depth reconstruction, then later continue processing only the ones not done...?

General / Ultra High reconstruction

hello...

(Agisoft 0.9 build 1584

I have a turntable object with 104 photos (5616 x 3744), I did a depth recons. at high setting, and it took 1.5 hour... now with ultra high (not finished yet), it says around 30 hours.. !... Is there a problem..?

also I see one of my GTX690 failing with an error like

ocl engine.cpp 231clEnqueueWriteBufferFailed, CL_MEM_OBJECT_ALLOCATION_FAILURE

Any idea..?

Feature Requests / import masks for the entire selection

I am glad Pscan supports EXR32bits files.. I am just wondering if it uses all the extra info at reconstruction phase..? or does Pscan clamps it to 8 bits..?

Feature Requests / high frequency noise reduction

Hello...

That would be ultra nice if we had some sort of noise reduction tool... currently I use Ultra high recon., while having some amazing results, I do have some high frequency noise in the mesh...

I also have a question... does using more images reduces that noise...?
