But I don't understand you want to only mask certain things but you want the computer to automatically guess to your liking what to mask and what to make from the model in the viewport.

or you want to only mask what is X many meters away, or how would you like to solve this?

Duplicate the model, cut away the part you do not want and mask using this cleaned up model.

Restart works but I am finding that it is stalling multiple times during the depth maps stage. Using an 5080 as well. Pain in the backside having to babysit this stage. every other process seems fine. Does not seem to be any pattern that i can see on when it will hang.

An update that fixes this would be AWESOME....

BuildDepthMaps/max_gpu_multiplier = 1

is the fix for now, it makes it 2X slower but at least it will not freeze.

Using a 5080 and same issue as the other users. Yes, restarting works but babysitting this stage is getting tiresome.
Please fix!!!

Generally, what is the process to run rtk imagery in Metashape? I work with rtk data all the time but usually end up just disabling it to work with the gcps, which is better anwyays. BUT it would be nice to know how to use the rtk data from the drone, whats the point of using it anyways? Can someone explain how to do this? A lot of times after I bring the gcps into the RTK data, the gcps are still way off. I know the rtk images are more accurate than that.

This is most likely because you need to reproject the drone images into the GEOid used to measure the GCP, with correctly setup RTK you will get spot on GCP.

If I change the 5090 to 4090 no freezing happens, no other change, going back to 5090 it starts freezing again.

I have done Mentest86+ over multiple night(booted from USB), this test is not very good anyways its better to use y-cruncher you can use this for example "stress -TL:1441 VST VT3"

Windows 11
AMD 9950X
256GB RAM 5200MT/s (Tried 3600MT/s does not change anything)

The 5090 is a ASUS Astral 5090 LC if this changes anything.

AMD Radeon listed under GPU but not ticked, this is the iGPU, I have tried disabling this in BIOS then it does not show up, it has no impact.

1 Display connected 3440x1440 - DisplayPort on 5090. No scaling 100%
No overclock

I have a sequence of 900 images that need to be aligned, but I don’t have the time to run a Highest quality alignment on these images

900 images is tiny, you would have already have calibrated them by now.
