What is the legend/colours used for the automatic point classification?

General / reseting optimization

Is there any way to reset the optimization step? Will unchecking all markers and running optimization work? Or are random errors always introduced?

General / Importing GIS raster as texture
« on: April 18, 2018, 01:49:33 AM »
Is it possible to import a GIS raster (geotiff) as texture and then export the model (obj)?

I would like to import a slope layer (values 0-90) which was derived from the DEM (i.e. same extent, resolution). But when I import the file as texture I get a BW image and when I try to set the colour palette using one of the bands (B1) with values 0-90, the resultant image does not make much sense.

What is the best workflow?

Thanks.

General / Display issues
« on: October 19, 2017, 05:31:05 AM »
PS used to work perfectly on my laptop but recently I have been having issues with PS both versions 1.3 and 1.4. When I try to display a photo the image is blank and I cant switch between the Workspace and Reference panes. Only if I toggle between the "Model" and "Photo" panes the photo is refreshed and the Reference pane appears.

Anyone with similar issues??

Javier

Has any one calibrated the Phantom 3 lens and is willing to share the calibration parameters/file?

General / placing markers and automatically refining locations
« on: January 27, 2016, 06:43:21 AM »
I am placing markers using the guided approach. I have 10 GCP that can be seen on many photos and the process of manually refining the markers location is very time-consuming.

Is there a way to update the markers location after refining a few of them manually?

Thanks.

General / error when batch export DEM

I am running into a memory error while trying to batch export DEMs with 1.1.5 (2034) 64 bits. However, export works perfectly if doing it manually. See console below:

General / Optimize and Batch Process
« on: December 08, 2014, 05:07:20 AM »
When I use update and optimize manually and then try to build dense cloud on batch process, I'd get an error and need to align photos again first.

What would be the correct workflow if I want to use the Optimize Alignment step with Batch Process? Do I need to Align Photos again after optimization or build dense cloud?

- Align Photos
- Optimize Alignment
- Align Photos (again?) OR Build Dense Cloud?

cheers,

Javier

Python and Java API / looping throuh all chunks in document
« on: July 12, 2013, 06:03:31 AM »
I'm new to python and was wondering what is the best way to loop through all the chunks in a document. Thought about using the "index" function but cant even make it work (error: NameError: name 'index' is not defined). Appreciate any help on this topic.

General / tie points and optimization
« on: October 18, 2012, 04:37:32 AM »
Can you optimize alignment without actual GCP with known coordinates but only using tie points based on image coordinates?

If so, what would be the workflow... first alignment/geometry, add/manually align markers in different photos, optimize, reset and realign (?) and build new geometry (?)

Thanks,

Javier
