Hello ChetWalker,

What is the size of texture atlas you are exporting?

Hello MeHoo,

Reconstructing depth maps is a first part of Build Geometry step.

Hello MeHoo,

Have you tried calibrating this macro lens with Agisoft Lens?

Hello MeHoo,

Currently calculations on GPU are performed only during Building Depth maps stage all the other workflow steps are performed only using CPU.

First image below shows adding marker using Photo view and Create Marker command. It works if the geometry was built before adding markers.

Repeating this operation twice will give you two markers needed for setting the reference distance.

So how can I set the reference distance if I put markers on photo view? There is no set reference distance button.
When you add markers using Create Marker feature from Photo view they will be seen from 3D view. There is no difference for markers by the way they were added.

You mean I have to take pictures with two different cameras?
No. You have already set of overlapping images. At least two images should contain marker's projection to make marker visible in 3D view.

Hello yehuichao,

Markers could be placed on the model only if they are seen from at least two cameras.
When using 3D view to place markers but they do not appear on the model's surface (but only in list of markers) that usually means the marker is put on additional faces build in smooth mode or on the area seen only by single camera.
You can create markers using Photo view. You need to open photo containing marker's position by double-clicking on it in Workspace or Photo pane. Then switch into Edit Markers mode using the corresponding Toolbar button. By right-clicking on the desired marker's position you'll see context menu - Create Marker option will add new marker on all the photos containing point's projection. Also you can use Place Marker option if you want to add another projection of existing marker to photo.
Positions (projections) of markers could be adjusted through the Photo view.

Hello Thomas,

PhotoScan does not support aligning functionality for the imported models using markers (markers could be placed on the model only if they are seen from at least two cameras).

But you can merge PhotoScan model in one chunk with the imported model in another chunk if chunks are in  one coordinate system. PhotoScan model in the first chunk could be referenced to the imported model corresponding coordinate system (even local) using markers. After the first chunk is referenced by markers it could be merged with the imported model's chunk.

Hello Rob,

Could you please specify what export format are you using?
Exporting to GeoTIFF looks fine. But some areas have negative values (colored blue on the image attached), could you also make sure that the views you are using shows points with negative heights.

Hello FoodMan,

Thank you for reporting. We'll fix the problem in the next update.

Hello RHenriques,

Thank you for the reporting. We'll check the memory problem.
Could you please also check if the visualization of large models is faster if VBO flag is unchecked in Preferences.

Hello wrumm,

Thank you for the data provided.
Check if importing .txt file works correctly if quotes near the names of the markers are removed, because it should work in this case.
And .xml import problem will be fixed in the next update.
