But now it is not mirrored?

And how have you checked that it is not correct?

Hello Fernandoker,

Are you importing coordinates from the text file? If yes than just swap the column numbers for X and Y coordinates.

Hello Amanda,

Thank you for this information. I've performed my check on lower number of faces (about 20 000) and now I'm testing bigger model.

Seems like there's a 32767 limit for vertices in such polyface mesh representation: http://www.deelip.com/?p=14
We'll try to find the way to solve this issue on our side as soon as possible.

Hello anabento,

The model can be referenced using Ground Control pane if camera and/or markers coordinates are input.

The standard procedure of aerial data processing including marker placement and coordinate info input is described in the following tutorials:

Hello Fernandoker,

Please check the orientation of the axis in PhotoScan model view mode. In case Z is pointing under the model the most likely reason is incorrect input of X and Y column. Please check that they are not mixed during import.

Hello anabento,

Export DEM option is available only for referenced models.

Hello all,

Thank you for reporting the problem. In the version 1.0.3 we have really changed the representation of the exported DXF model from 3D-faces to polyline mesh, as it better describes the original PhotoScan model.

So could you please specify what problems you are facing with such model representation in DXF format? Will "Explode" function in Autocad work to split mesh into individual faces?

I've opened DXF file exported from PhotoScan 1.0.3 in Autodesk DWG Treview without any problems:

Добрый день,

Центрирование по точке на поверхности в данной версии доступно после построения полигональной модели. Для этого в режиме просмотра модели нужно щёлкнуть правой кнопкой мыши по соответствующей точке, принаджещей поверхности, и выбрать пункт Center View.

Насчёт выбора точек по цвету, мы подумаем над такой воможностью, однако, есть сомнения, что это будет востребовано и широко использоваться. Всё же проще создать маски для ненужного фона по цвету.

Estimate Image Quality feature provides only the information about the most sharp border detected on the image and should be used to find only images which are obviously blurred.

Due to image specifics sometime the coefficient could be higher than 1.0.

Face and Body Scanning / Re: capturing for dog and baby
« on: March 28, 2014, 02:50:16 PM »
Hello Dannykwon,

To capture the living subject you need to take synchronized photos from the cameras you have, since any changes of the surface shape will result in alignment problems and geometry artifacts.

Also I assume that 12 cameras may not be enough for full body capture, but you can start with face/head capture as a test. Different focal length is not a problem as long as image frame is used effectively.

Hello anabento,

Maybe you can specify your task in some additional details, since it is not very clear what you are going to measure or calculate based on the model produced by PhotoScan.

Hello anabento,

Seems like you are on the old version of PhotoScan like 0.9, please update to the actual release version 1.0.3.

Hello Mark,

Thanks for the screenshot. Maybe you can improve the export resolution to get more detailed output?

As some sort of work around you can use screenshot save using Python script:
Code: [Select]
from PyQt4.QtGui import QPixmap, QApplication
QPixmap.grabWindow(QApplication.desktop().winId(), x1, y1, x2, y2).save('d:/test.png', 'png')

Hello Mark,

Can you please provide the DEM export results for any of the examples (performed through GUI export DEM dialog) so that we could see why this way is not acceptable?

Face and Body Scanning / Re: Background masking process
« on: March 25, 2014, 02:25:15 PM »
Hello Mark,

The easiest way is to load images taken from different cameras to different chunk and then to apply background masking for each chunk separately. Then just drag and drop images to the single chunk in the Workspace pane.

More complicated way is to write short script to perform the operation.
