Python and Java API / Re: Rotating a georeferenced model
« on: March 24, 2017, 08:33:58 PM »
I also need to rotate georeferenced models.  This used to be supported in Photoscan, several version ago.  I use my older build of Photoscan on those projects that need rotation.  It would be great if this functionality came back.

I'm posting the updated script for Split in Blocks, hope it works now. If not - let me know.

I'm not finding the new script OR its still not working.  Does anyone have a copy of this handy?

Thanks.

Bug Reports / Re: Merge Produces Errors in DEM
« on: December 01, 2016, 03:47:51 PM »
Here is what the data looks like when processed as one giant chunk.  The diagonal ridges you see in this data are real.  Those are furrows from plowing.  The problem with merging chunks is also present in version 1.3.0.

Hi Alexey, unrelated to my recent bug post for 1.2.6, I noticed that 1.3.0 appears to have an issue with processing photos at the edge of chunks.  See this image:

In version 1.2.6, there is not a gap between the upper two chunks when the data is processed. In 1.3.0 data is lost at the edges.

Bug Reports / Merge Produces Errors in DEM
« on: December 01, 2016, 04:17:35 AM »
When merging adjacent chunks errors are being introduced into the DEM.  See below

When many chunks are merged the problem is even worse

I have noticed this problem in several UAV datasets.

Hi Alexey, the script works perfectly.  You are the best. Thanks.

Python and Java API / Delete duplicate photos?

Hello, does any have a script that will delete all duplicates of a photo within a chunk?

Thanks,

Mark

Patribus, thanks for describing and suggesting these changes. You are correct! When dealing with huge datasets, all of your suggestions would help greatly.

Feature Requests / Bookmark View
« on: June 30, 2016, 08:04:06 AM »
Hi, it would be helpful to have a "bookmark view" feature that allowed you to return to a specific model view when a project is reopened.  I am exporting ortho images from unusual angles and it is nearly impossible to return to a view if I need to re-export with changes or additional imagery.

Thanks for considering it,

Mark

Bug Reports / Re: Processing time Inaccurate

It appears to but I only run very large complicated projects.  That might have something to do with it.

If you "show info" on a chunk, the "Reconstruction parameters > Processing time" is off by a significant amount.

Cheers,

Mark

Bug Reports / DEM from Mesh not working
« on: December 29, 2015, 12:58:36 AM »
Hi, I noticed a bug in the latest version of Photoscan. If you trim a mesh in Photoscan and then export as a DEM, the trimmed areas are still present but exported as flat areas.

I noted a minor bug.  After building a project that used masked images, I noted that the chunk's "Show Info" listed "Constrain features by mask No".  It should read Yes.   This results happens on any project with masks.

Thanks for the great work.

General / Re: xy reference points without a z-value
« on: September 11, 2015, 06:14:07 PM »
Gary, good to see another archaeologist using Photoscan.  I would use Google Earth to zoom into your project area and then find the elevations as best you can for the grid corners.  It won't be precise but it may be good enough to get the model to resolve and to get the chunks to align.

Gary, is this UAV data or something else?
