Bug Reports / Build Texture... 1.1.6 vs 1.2.1

Hi Alexey

It took me a while before I decided to call it a bug.
I tested the problem on a different workstations.
And I cannot justify (quality wise) more than a 10 times longer blending process.

Am I missing something?

Please advise.

Below just a couple of lines to compare but you can find a full logs attached.

Agisoft PhotoScan Version: 1.1.6 build 2038 (64 bit)

VS

Hi Alexey

I am not sure if that is a bug or it is working as intended and could be changed if possible.

Batch Process - Import Cameras works great with Path like "D:/PhotoScanExportedCameras/{chunklabel}.xml"
But recently added Export Cameras feature in Batch Process does not understand {chunklabel} and similar.

Please advise.

Marcin

Is it possible to get old 1.1.6 "NumPad 0" behaviour back by any chance as well?

Hello Marcin,

The Reset View feature behavior has been changed to TopXY view, so the hot-key also works in that way.

Hi Alexey

Can we have an option on The Reset View feature not to change to TopXY please.
As mentioned previously if I wanted to change the view to TopXY, I could press 7 standing for The Predefined Top View.

I do hope you will consider my request positively please.

Marcin

Hi Alexey

Thank you for the latest update.
It seems the Tie Points are back to normal!

Is it possible to get old 1.1.6 "NumPad 0" behaviour back by any chance as well?

Thank you for a prompt reply.

I can confirm all the settings are the same and tests conducted on the same workstation.

1.1.6 build 2038
1.2.0 build 2136
1.2.0 build 2143

Hi Alexey

Thank you very much for this one!

• Added Load Project, Export Cameras, Close Holes and Reset Region commands to Batch Process
dialog.

Much appreciated.

I am following every update and found some significant drop in tie points in your last night build.
I am having harder time to get the quality mesh from the same set of images comparing to the previous builds.

Please check the images below.

1.1.6 build 2038
1.2.0 build 2136
1.2.0 build 2143

There is one more little favour to ask.

In version 1.1.6 build 2038 "Numpad 0" centred the view.
In version 2.0.0 build any "Numpad 0" centres the view but also resets the view.
If that is intentional would it be possible to give back the old "Numpad 0" somewhere like a "." on a Numpad for example.

To be honest it is the matter of choice, therefore in 1.1.6 if I wanted centre my view and reset the view I hit Numpad 0 and Numpad 7 but still had a choice to do one or another.

Looking forward to hear from you.

Marcin

Bug Reports / Re: Change Path... does not work

I will do that for you straight away, it should not be a big file without mesh and dense points cloud.

Hi Alexey

Thank you for a really prompt reply.

I have a set of 300+ images.
I right click on the first one and then Change Path...
Window pops up to find the image so what I do.
After selecting the image and clicking open it ask me if Apply to...
All Cameras - it does not do that for all cameras only the one I right clicked
Same situation with Selected Cameras option as well as Entire Work space

It is not a big deal, can move the images where they were before eventually.
But I am positive it used to work before although cannot confirm when last time it worked for me.

Regards
Marcin

Bug Reports / Change Path... does not work
« on: January 27, 2015, 05:42:05 PM »
Hi

When trying to change path of the cameras it only applies to selected "one" camera.
It does not work for the selected number of cameras, all cameras, entire workspace unless I am missing something.

Hi guys

I managed to get the beta on one of my computers.
I run one of the models on medium quality simultaneously on two PC one with stable PS and one with beta PS.
These are things I noticed so far.

1. beta is faster
2. beta can extract more points
3. beta has a lot of new useful tools
More points to come as I will keep exploring.

Below please find medium dense point cloud visual comparison stable vs beta.

These gaps are all over the model using the same settings in beta and stable.

I hope it helps in bringing beta closer to RC.

Regards
Marcin
