Face Works (nvidia)

I know the devs are partial to OpenCL for its cross platform compatibility, but nvidia has a new technology that could potentially alleviate much of the bottleneck associated with very large mesh models.

There's nothing new there. They used the USC ICT Lighstage to capture that data. There is a huge bottleneck there, they just have the tools and talent to process it. Nvidia would have just collaborated for rendering and GPU's. The bulk of the work would have been handled by the University's team.

Yes, Lee has right, they show just results, but when you digg intro the worflow, you must realize that is something that need a LOT of money, technology and talent.... Nvidia do just aprox 1% of the whole process.....
