3ds model export mesh issue
« on: December 17, 2018, 11:44:04 AM »
I exported my model as a .3Ds file, everything seems fine, except appearance of a few weird mesh-ribbons running through the model, cutting it up in pieces. Any idea why this happens and how to prevent it?

I attached a picture with the ribbons highlighted in the model.

Hello DriesS,

Are you observing anything similar directly in PhotoScan Model view?

Also is the model referenced in geographic coordinate system and if so, then which coordinate system option you are using in the export dialog?
Best regards,

Hey Alexey

I can't find anything similar in PhotoScan. I thought I might find it looking in the wireframe mode, but in this mode nothing is displayed  (model has approx. 14.000.000 faces).

I use the Lambert 72 Belge (EPSG:: 31370) coordinate system but exported it to a local coordinate system.
