Delighting turns texture pink
« on: December 21, 2018, 11:44:11 AM »
When using Delighting on a project with chunks, the textures turn all pink.
Is there a specific order to have this work ?

Chunks share same jpgs, each chunk gets saturated pink and turqoise color when process is done.
I got expected result on a diffrent project but this seem to be faulty?

What could be the cause for this ?

Johan

Question regarding this!

When splitting a mesh into diffrent chunks does the Delighting
still take into account its linked chunks as or seperate objects?

For example I would assume the result be diffrent if one chunk is fully lit
and another one fully in shadow.

Compare to Delighting of complete mesh that has both the areas to take into calculations .

Hello Johan,

It would be helpful, if you can provide a small sample project to support@agisoft.com that can be used to reproduce the problem (just aligned cameras, mesh model, texture in the single file PSZ project). Additionally please specify, which delighting parameters you are using.

As for the second question, if the operation is applied for the separate chunks, they will be treated independently. But note that you can generate the textured models in the chunks at first and then merge them (the texture in the merged chunk will consist of several pages). After that you can apply the delighting operation to the multi-page texture.

Hi , sorry for the somewhat late reply but run into the same problem again and have the files needed to show what happends.

Any clues why this turns out so wrong ?

All in all the texture and vertex color look good, but using the default delighting setting (multi color) and no AO makes it faulty.

Sample of a mountain ridge (top down) that has sun on one side and shadow on the other side.

The mesh is now not in chunks to see if the pink texture was related to. Which didnt solve the problem.
