Is Metashape uninstalling Photoscan?

I've installed Metashape to test and it seems that after a reboot my Photoscan installs are gone, can you confirm if this is intended behaviour or something else went wrong?

Hello wojtek,

Yes, Metashape is uninstalling PhotoScan, as it is considered to be a newer version in the same product line. The settings should be also copied from PhotoScan to Metashape.

If you wish to keep both old and new versions, then you should install older version first, copy the installation directory to some custom location and then install latest Metashape version.

unfortunately I am reading this topic too late and have already installed Metashape and would now like to downgrade again. Is that possible as well?

Hello Moritz,

To install the older version of the application you need to uninstall the newest version first. Then follow the suggested steps: install older PhotoScan version, copy it to custom location, install latest Metashape version to the default location.
