You can try:

 - Disable hyperthreading in BIOS
 - Enable/disable NUMA in BIOS
 - Enable/disable memory interleaving (in BIOS or by running with numactl --interleave=all ./photoscan.sh)

Sorry to resurrect this topic, but I am also testing on a DGX-1 and have encountered the same error:
clGetPlatformIDs failed: CL_UNKNOWN_ERROR_CODE_-1001

This occurs with a reasonably large dataset (4700 drone images) using a known-good script. The script has been tested successfully on other machines, and on the DGX-1 with a much smaller sample image set with no issue. The error code does not immediately halt processing, but hangs after listing each GPU device found.

I'm on Ubuntu 16.04.5 LTS with nvidia driver 410.79, cuda version 10.
