How to attarch geotiff (orthomosaic) in Cad programs (Civil 3D)
« on: February 04, 2019, 11:44:07 AM »
Hello,

I have an error when I'm trying attatch orthomosaic in civil 3d (or autocad - the same problem). The error says that Civil 3D can't find the file...
Can anybody tell me how to export from agisoft ortomosaic to load in civil?

I don't have any Problems with this.

My workflow:

Export the Orthomosaik as tif with writing World-File.
Edit and convert the Tif to a jpeg.
Change the Name of the World-File to Filename.jgw
in civil you use the "mapiinsert" command. You can choose one ore more Files.

Jpeg-File and jgw-File have to be in the same Directory.

The Picture in Acad will be georeferenced.

hope it helps
Dieter

What would cause the orthomosaic to be really blurry in Civil 3D?

These pieces of software do not support GeoTiff so use JPG instead.
