Import pointclouds from LS to MetaShape issue

Dear Agisoft team,

I tried to import poinclouds from LS (approx. points 500 billion points) to build the mesh but MetaShape took 15h  import and stop in 92%, i have 32g rams with GTX 1080 and cor i7 6 cores.
Is it a bug or a computer issue?

Which format you are using for import?

If it is LAS/LAZ, then Metashape might be still calculating point normals.

The format i used E57, file size 7.5 giga
Noted that when i import this file into Cloudcompare it only took 3 min to import not 15 h like MetaShape and stop in 92%.

What are the last lines in the progress dialog for the point cloud import?

Does the E57 file contain the point normals and how many points are there (so that we could try to use the similar point cloud for import)?

In fact i don't remember .
the points in the E57 is 51 Billion points.

The import worked fine on our side and took about 45 minutes on dual-Xeon system (although the most time during the normal calculation only one core has been used) and huge amount fo RAM. I'll check in the next tests the memory consumption peak.

If you wish, I can send you back the project in PSZ format with the imported dense cloud, so that you continue working with it? (file is about 6 GB).
