When starting off with Metashape Professional a few weeks ago each step within the overall process would take a couple of hours (3-5 hours). Each project has between 500 and 600 4 band images at 25cm pixel resolution, each image is about 1.4 GB in size. We are running Metashape off a computer that has an AMD ryzen threadripper processor, a Nvidia geforce gtx 1080 ti gpu and 128GB ram.
Like I said starting off with Metashape a couple of weeks ago it took us 3 to 5 hours to Align Photos. Now when trying to align photos it says it is going to take anywhere between 2 to 6 days to process. We are running Metashape version 1.5.1 build 7618 64bit.
I then went and installed a demo metashape on a msi core i7 gtx960m laptop and ran the same process using the same imagery and settings and the time to completion is said to be at 5 hours and I can see that all is processing correctly and the progress bar actually moves forward regularly.
Please, if you know why this may be happening your assistants would be greatly appreciated. I have already tried a couple of things such as defragging the drives, memory diagnostics, gpu and processor stress tests, updating drivers etc.
Find attached the log files for the align photos and a log of the pc specs during processing.
