Draw patch button not working

Hello,
Nothing seems to happen when I press "Draw Patch" Button in Ortho view since I updated to Metashape 1.5.1. Other buttons in this toolbar (Draw Line, Draw Point, Draw polygon) work fine. Is there any other way to start drawing patches? Please help and fix this error, Thank you.

Hello jansawicki,

The issue with not working Draw Patch tool will be fixed in the version 1.5.2 update. As a workaround you can draw a polygon and then use Assign Image option from the context menu of the Ortho view mode, after right-clicking on the selected polygonal shape.

I know about this workaround, but it is a lot slower workflow, especially on larger areas. When can I expect version 1.5.2 to be released?

Hi Everyone,

I'm having the same problem decribed in this post. The draw patch tool is not drawing on the ortho.
I'm using version 1.8.4 build 14671 (64bit).

Could anyone confirm a similar problem with the same version?

HI All,

I have just realised the ortho that I was trying to apply the "draw patch" on was a "duplicated" ortho. I tried the "draw patch" on the original ortho and it worked.

Hello Ben,

I see only two reasons, why patch cannot be drawn in the Ortho view:
- there are no orthorectified images stored in the active chunk,
- there is no active orthomosaic in the active chunk.

If you observe such problem again, but neither reason is relevant, please report the issue again and provide additional details, that could help to reproduce the issue on our side and analyze it.
