I have the beautiful DEM tif file that I made in agisoft and I have the xyz file with the elevation data from agisoft but I can't seem to figure out how to merge the two on arcmap. I want to be able to use the information cursor and have a legend that shows my elevation data.

Thank you!

I have tried this method (https://support.esri.com/en/technical-article/000011466) where you first run point file information and then do ASCII to Feature Class, then raster interpolation. Is this how you do it? I am new to this. Also, my raster interpolation keeps failing so I am not sure what I am doing wrong. Error in GRID IO, error in writing raster and error in executing grid. Is there any easier way to do this? Also, I am not sure if IDW is the raster interpolation method I should us. I don't know what I am doing!

Hi szhu0,

If you already have a DEM TIFF, why do you want to merge it with the XYZ data? From what I understood these two files are of the same project/data set? If so then there's no need to use the XYZ. The DEM (elevation) geoTIFF file will have the same kind of information, if it's in the same resolution.

You can assign a hillshade and colour ramp to your DEM TIFF in ArcGIS by doing this:

or
