Orthophoto shifts from GCPs when exported to ArcMap
« on: March 22, 2019, 01:13:29 AM »
I'm new on UAV image processing and I'm having an issue when I export an orthophoto from Metashape and open it in ArcMap (arcmap_print.jpg), the image shifts from the GCPs. However the DEM does not shifts and has good match to the GCP. The coordinate system is SIRGAS2000 UTM Zone 23S. Someone had the same issue and found out a solution?

I am having the same problem. Ortho images in Metashage have good alignments with GCPs, but once I exported to TIF, they shift randomly by half to a meter.
The coordinate system I am working on is NAD83 State Plane for Metashape file and GCPs. The location file of photos is in WGS83.
Export Orthomosaic function in WGS83 and NAD83 State Plane give different results.

So when you import the markers to your ArcMap , have you change from absolute  height to set on the ground ?

Because when you do that, I can see the shift from absolute to on the ground...

I have use ArcMap Desktop but I use ArcGIS Pro a lot because it is a lot easier to use with it...
