libtiff error when importing DJI DNG format files

Hi All,

I am using DNG format file shot from DJI Phantom 4 pro for 3D construction,  expecting DNG file may bring better results than jpg files.   
however, error appear in "console" when I try to import DNG file.

"libtiff error: input: Null count for "Tag 51008" (type 7, writecount -3, passcount 1)"

also I noticed that DNG image quality shown in photoscan is significantly lower than JPG files.

Anyone facing similar issue?

Hello space111,

Can you please provide an example of such file to support@agisoft.com and also specify PhotoScan version that you are using?

Also do you experience any processing issues of such datasets or the warning message in the Console doesn't affect any processing stages?

As for the lower quality - can you post a screenshot of the comparison, for example, loading both DNG and JPG side by side in the Photo tabs?

 I just recently got this error as well after updating firmware on a phantom 4 pro. These errors came up when trying to import the DNG cameras. Was there any resolution to this. Have a class on friday to teach and was trying to collect a little sample data in between the rain. It is only 25 photos, I see when I look at properties of the photos they say they are 24 bit can metashape handle 24 bit images? Edit: I have also updated to 1.5.2 current build and error persists. I used total image converter and converted them to TIFF which got rid of the error but is not ideal as agisoft use to allow direct import. Also note that my coworker used original DNG and was able to build a sparse cloud but the console threw a lot of the same errors posted below. We didn't continue the process and just used the TIFF instead.

Hello adalta,

The warning message means that field OpcodeList1 (51008) in the image header has zero length.

This shouldn't, however, affect the processing, but you'll see these messages every time the image is opened and analyzed during the processing.
