Spotty Textures
« on: April 20, 2019, 12:05:19 AM »
Hi,

I'm trying to scan this fireplace.

I have alignment settings at key:40000 tie:1000.

I am using a camera mounted ring light to take pictures, the light and lens are polarised and anything thats a little bit away from the camera has heavy shadows because the room is as dark as possible to control light.

When i reconstruct the photos it produces a good model but the texture is splotchy and spotted, mixed with the information retrieved from the shadowy parts of the picture.

If i mask out the shadow parts will it still be able to reconstruct?

Im not sure if the spots on the first picture are as visible to everyone else? They aren't supposed to be there at all.
