I am generating point cloud tiles to compare SfM with lidar. To do this, I iterate through the lidar tile index shapefile (every nth tile) and set the region to that tile shape, then generate a dense cloud.
Sometimes on a tile with only a portion (less than half) of the tile occupied by sparse cloud points, Metashape will not select any cameras to build the depth maps or dense cloud, even though there are hundreds of sparse tie points occupying, for example, 1/3 of the tile.
My bad, I didn't realize that z values for the bottom of the region were above the pointcloud.
