Cloud Processing Error
« on: April 22, 2019, 11:34:20 PM »
Every time I try to batch process something (ie build Dense Cloud) in multiple chunks in the cloud, I receive the following error:
"Error: Host requires authentication (status code 401)"

Anyone else have this issue/ know how to deal with it? I tested a small project with a much smaller group of photos (66 vs. a few hundred) and that worked very well through a number of batch processes. Might be better to run the chunks one at a time..?

Hello ibjorn,

Which version of Metashape Pro you are using?

Can you also provide the log from the Console pane from beginning of the cloud processing up to the error message (sensitive information such as paths to the projects can be removed)?

Hello ibjorn,

I can recommend to update to the version 1.5.2.

It seems that for some reason after an hour of synchronization the process wasn't resumed, but most likely already uploaded project files wouldn't be re-uploaded if you re-start the processing operation via cloud again, just the files that are missing in the cloud would be uploaded.

I am having the same issue here, haven't found a solution so far.
Any one else found out what is going on with that error?

by the way: just picking up the project where it stopped did not do anything, it just caused the same error again.

Hello NilsS,

Do you mean error with code 401?

Are you using latest Metashape version (1.5.2)?

Hello NilsS,

Can you send the complete output from the Console pane related to the cloud processing start which contains the error?

If the log is sensible (in terms of any paths), you can either remove the sensible paths from it or send it via PM.

Hi there,

I'm trying to use cloud processing with 1.5.2 pro. I have ran through the checklist on the how to use cloud processing page and everything should be set up fine. However I'm getting a connection error: connection closed (status 0).

Console text attached.

I'm working within a large organisation could this be a firewall/proxy server issue?

Thanks,

Siobhán.

Sorry for the really late reply, everything is working fine after two more updates, my bad for not responding, i completely forgot.

Hello 3DWinter,

Does "Download Project" option work and list the project in the Cloud? If there is similar issue, please try to re-type email and password on the Network Preferences tab.
