There is no way to clean inside  MS  because it causes  a lot of problem in the unwrap  and can increase a lot the number of vertices.

Hello zagnimarco1,

Isolated components can be removed using Gradual Selection -> Connected Components filter applied to the mesh in the Model view.

But please specify, which mesh generation parameters you are using and what type of projects you are commonly processing? Maybe you can also post a couple of screenshots describing the issues?

Hallo Alexey i set build mesh from depht maps , in high  quality high  poly ,as you can see in the 2 pic we have the raw mesh outside exported in blender, in the 1 we  have the vertices sconnected from the  main mesh, inside.

Do you encounter this same issue in Metashape 1.5.1 or only in 1.5.2 ? In my case this is only hapeening in 1.5.2.

Hi Mak i don't know because i don't remeber   the project done in 1.51 this one is  the more recent ,fore sure every  mesh originated in 1.52 have some  part inside, is not a big problem because i can clear  the model in  blender( a bit slow to charge a big mesh),   initially it was a problem because the mesh looked healthy but instead it hid these vertices which had a huge impact on unwrap times.

Yeah it can be "fixed" afterwards. But it is still a major problem IMO given that this wasn't happening prior to version 1.5.2 (which I'm not using because of this). I truly hope that the team is working on figuring out what the issue is.

I find this latest version generate very good mesh (except this problem), the mesh is not affected from that noiser of the previous version.

Hello Mak,

Yes, we are working on the fixes and optimizations for the new meshing method, including the issues that you have previously reported, such as unwanted additional isolated components inside the reconstructed mesh surface and visible seam-like artifacts on the surface of interest itself.

Alexey,
I'm guessing that there no ETA yet for 1.5.3, right?

Hello Mak,

At the moment we are thinking about releasing the update in 3-4 weeks.

When we have stable pre-release version that could be used for testing regarding the mentioned issue (unwanted isolated mesh components) I'll send you the link to that version, if you wish.

Alexey,

Perfect 👌🏻. Ready to test it once your team is ready.

Alexey,
Does the 1.5.3 build released today include those fixes?

Cheers
