crash on dense cloud creation

hi
I work on a new machine which used to work ok for two weeks or so but now I get crashes on dense point generation.
it is a problem of which I found some examples here but mostly older
its the filtering and then it crashes to the desktop and once it crashed all together.
it is a Nvidia GeForce RTX2080-O8G card and as I understand in the older forum posts even if its a CPU work they usually had the issue after changing the graphics card or could solve it by changing it.
i have deleted and reinstalled all the graphics drivers and trying now
crash report was not generated I got a message that it crashed but that it could not access the crash dump?
i have the log file however wich is very long...

i have re installed all the graphics drivers and it seemed to work but after one day I had the same issues again.
now I have almost uninstalled anything that might interfere with it and I probably reinstall the whole PC.
but I have some new observations since I was present at the time of the crash
the screen became black for a second or two even gaining into standby since there was no signal then the screen came back on but Metashape was gone and I can only see the desktop no errormessage or anything

Did you try to run a full blown memtest (https://www.memtest86.com/) to make sure that your RAM isn't busted ?
BTW which version of Windows are you running ? FYI the Windows 10 May security update (KB4494441) has negatively affected many Intel CPUs (the i9-9900k included & may also have disabled Hyper-threading). https://www.pugetsystems.com/labs/articles/Windows-10-Security-Patch-Slowed-Intel-Core-i9-9900K-in-Pix4D-Metashape-RealityCapture-1461/

sorry for the late reply,
i have that very combination of processor and os I have the update installed ant it might me around that time when the problems startet.

i will run the memtest next and report back

memtest completed after 12hours with 0 errors I have now reinstalled Metashape and lets see what this gives us

Hello Frank,

Usually we recommend to run Memtest86 in multithreaded mode (required to hit F2 during test start-up).

If there's are Metashape related message in Windows Event Viewer dialog, please post it here or send to support@agisoft.com. If it is related to NVIDIA drivers, please try clean driver install option for the latest available driver version.

thanks for the reply that was really helpful
i was looking for the error like a madman I did not even know about the windows event viewer here I found what I was looking for it is indeed a Nvidia problem I will mail the logs to you in a moment maybe you can understand what is going on.
I tried the driver reinstall a few days back but the problem still occurs ...
