Yaw is expected, but instead it is used as a heading?
« on: September 13, 2024, 03:20:26 PM »
Hi!

I'm having issues to import camera reference frame and I need to switch the sign of yaw to make it work. I'm importing WGS84 / UTM 33N. And I see that reference import panel contains yaw, pitch, roll. Just to clarify: for such reference import it is still expects to have yaw in the panel, not heading, correct? I know that many
There may be an error on my side creating reference .csv file, but would be nice to clarify that. This is the second system I work with and I have to switch yaw angle to minus yaw to make it work. Again, I'm not certain that there is no problem in my transformations when I build reference file.

Hello ilia,

Please refer to the camera orientation angle conventions in Metashape - check pp.36-37 in Metashape Pro manual:
https://www.agisoft.com/pdf/metashape-pro_2_1_en.pdf

Also information related to the GPS/INS offsets may be useful (pp. 98-99), if the coordinates loaded to the Reference pane are related to the IMU device and not to the camera centers.
