Just updated three machines to Windows build 1903 and metashape 1.5.3

Can confirm that on two of them, when clicking photo in the thumbnail pane it crashes metashape. colleague reported error earlier today with DNG files, and I submitted a crash report maybe 20 min ago (but after processing).

Was able to duplicate just now by launching metashape, adding one JPG, then double-clicking on it. Will include this thread with crash report.

Hello andyroo,

Thank you for reporting.

It seems that the issue is related to disabled "main/photoview/load_async" tweak in the Advanced Preferences tab. Can you please check if setting the value of the tweak to True solves the problem?

Setting that value to true solved the problem. Interestingly the tweak was populated (and set to false) in two of our workstations, but was not populated in the third.

Hello andyroo,

Glad to hear that the workaround worked, but anyway we are going to release the hotfix update in a few days.

The tweak could have disabled value, if Metashape has been installed over older PhotoScan version where the corresponding advanced option of photo view loading has been disabled. The option has been removed from the interface, but we have kept the corresponding tweak just for case.
