Abort download of large cloud export
« on: June 28, 2019, 11:07:59 AM »
Is there any way to abort the creation of a large project component after it has been processed in the cloud?
I just ran an orthomosaic creation, not realising it would result in an 8Gb file which is now going to take 4 hours to download (and it seems I can't do anything else on the project until that sync is complete)
I'd prefer just to scrap that so that I can create the orthomosaic locally while doing other things.

Hello mikeyjump,

Unfortunately, currently it is not possible to edit the project data on the cloud without it being synchronized with the local files.

If you would like to make a project copy, you can open it locally having "Cloud" option disabled in the Network Preferences tab.

Thanks Alexey

Sadly the problem has now compounded. I came back to the machine to find that the download was so big that it filled the hard drive and now I get the error 'cannot open archive', presumably because the .zip project file is corrupted. All the files seem to be present in the '.files' folder. How do I now get back into my project?

(I must say, from my tests so far, the way the cloud processing is configured is really problematic)

Hello mikeyjump,

Do you have an indication, which file doesn't open on your side when you are trying to open the project?

Yes, it's the project.zip file

Hello mikeyjump,

I can try to save the project files from your cloud account and send the missing or corrupted files back to you.

Yes please - I was wondering about that too

In the longer term, it really would be a great improvement if users could somehow have visibility of the cloud files for these sorts of eventualities!

Hello mikeyjump,

I've sent a project.zip file to you, now on load of the corresponding PSX project the missing or incomplete data should be re-downloaded from the cloud to your local machine.

As for the additional cloud account features, we are planning extending the cloud functionality.

Thanks - that worked!
(slightly fiddly in Dropbox because on download it insists on unpacking the .zip, so I had to repack it)
